Plinius sb300 came from krispy and the w4s stp-se from Deep Hz.

I have to say Cam from Krispy and Peter from Deep Hz were very good to deal to with , patience with all my questions, prompt with replies and shipping was well orgaised .

I also bought another pair of Xlr cables from Graham at Aurealis Cables and again very good to deal with. This would be the 4th set of interconnects i have bought from him.

All these purchases on various threads across SNA......who needs Christmas

Looks great.....no doubt the Confidence 5 will be lapping up that plinius goodness.

It is im just to work out how to stack things i need another shelf :-)

Re-jigged the room.....again , to tidy up the racks, put the stp on my old trusty mdf and diy brassed cone shelf , the rega aria and power supply on a mdf shelf on top of the cds2100 as they are a bit lighter than tne stp. Toyed with idea of putting tne stp on top of the plinus sb300 but while it looked coool and matched the feet of the preamp would have been resting on the heat sinks on the amp and not sure if having the pre onto the amp was a good idea.

I'm using Aurealis R1 xlr cables between cd, pre and power amp. R1 rca between Aria and pre. The phono cable is an Oyaide PA2075. Power cables are all Isotek Evo 3.

Just listening to a few favs at the moment to see how it all sounds......darn good.

Sigh, that was short lived, today the plinius went bbbzzzttt in the left channel then started to smoke a fair bit from the top plate . Raced over turned off at the wall. Bugger

But on plugging my lsa amp back in ,, seems what ever went wrong with the a p has taken out the left speaker as well.

Double bugger :-(

Worst nightmare stuff that.

Hope you can get stuff fixed quickly.

Damn that's awful news , bad enough with the amp blowing but to take out a $16k speaker too.

Hopefully the amp warranty covers the speaker it took out and any other costs

Omfg , tnt have done it again and fked up another job

For 3 days, the amp has sat in a depot , because they managed to turn 1/7 ikita into 17 kita.

With note address to be confirmed , yet neither me or Cam at krispy audio have heard anything from them.

Think they are all set up for large pallets these days mate. One little box, no matter how valuable it is, seems to get lost in the sea of crap.

While i waiting to hear on stuff getting fixed , a good friend has lent me a pair of very nice powered acoustic energy a22 studio monitors, must say they sound very good, not the bass of the confidence 5 of course but they go deep for their size.

The main is of course i can listen to music again yay yay yay
