Happy Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) Item: Audio Nirvana Super 15" Ferrite in Shindo-style cabinetsLocation: Bondi NSWPrice: $900 or near offerItem Condition: mintReason for selling: Going hornsPayment Method: Cash on pick upExtra Info: I am selling my beloved full-range speakers in gorgeous Shindo-styled cabs. These sound as good as they look. If you like efficient (95dB+), full-range & point-source type of transducers that can manage not only the magic mid-range but also the grand scale, really look no further. Usually such sound is achieved only at a few more grands but here's your most cost-effective way to realise it. The sound is transparent that reveals the downstream electronics effortlessly. A match in heaven with tube/valve amplification. I dearly love these speakers mated to my Time Machine 300B which is probably to be listed for sale in near future. I also enjoyed them with various SS and digital amps. All sound great but I have a soft spot for the 300B. I was thinking of upgrading to the Audio Nirvana 15" Neodymium drivers with the same cabs. But I've decided to go horns recently. Giant horns in my little unit that make these relatively large speakers cute. But these speakers would look monsters to many of us still. With the current exchange rate you're looking at about a grand for importing a pair of these drivers only from the States. I have the original boxes for the drivers too. The plywood cabs are Shindo-styled with lovely legs. I have added further internal bracing to the side-walls and they're padded all over inside, so as to reduce resonance and noise on a loud volume. The bottom of the cabs has a large void. If you like more bass, you might want to cover them a little which is what I'm doing currently. Local pick-up only due to the size. Will upload more detailed photos over the weekend. Further info: The size the front/back - 39x25.5" the sides - 39x17.5" the back void/cover - 25.5x19" the bottom void/port - 12x7" walls - double layers of 0.5"...each layer has what looks like 6 layers of plywood. the feet - 5x1.5x1.5" The internal wires are Mundorf gold/silver I should also have another un-veneered baffle for 12" drivers for these cabs. Happy Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Thanks Bill. The wires inside the cabs are Mundorf silver/gold BTW.
DMax Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Sounded very good to my ears during the short pick up visit there.... hmmmm....should I drive back there again? haha 1
Happy Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Another tease Bill....these speakers would give you another presentation simply by having the back cover open. You get a taste of the Open-Baffle speakers with the backwave.
Happy Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Sounded very good to my ears during the short pick up visit there.... hmmmm....should I drive back there again? haha lol sorry that I wasn't in a position to have the TM hooked up to them. With the TM you get the buttery yet transparent tube mid that you don't get with the Emotiva SS separates I had when you were here!

Bill125812 Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Would love to hook them up to my 300B and let rip with some vinyl.
Happy Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Would love to hook them up to my 300B and let rip with some vinyl. I've tried Eric's 300B on these speakers with black bottles and the result was outstanding. Also the 300b & AN combo makes vinyl playback just sing! Sent from my X10a using Tapatalk 2
Happy Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 wow...let me know if you are getting rid off that TM Will do. It's got active & passive pre-outs by Earle making it very versatile. Sent from my X10a using Tapatalk 2 1
