I bet 5pm can't come quickly enough... Have fun tonight, better get that lad of yours into service, it's a pretty heavy/awkward device when held overhead. I stood on a couch to put ours up and was certainly aware of the $$$ I was holding precariously trying to get the mount hardware to catch.

I've already texted him to warn him his services will be needed tonight.   :D

It was a two person job to put the last one up, you're right it's big heavy and awkward and a lot of $$$ to drop.

Well I've finally got the new unit together, a task that would've been much easier if I'd been supplied the correct Qubelok fittings that I ordered (I should've checked properly when I picked them up).  I had to go out again to get the right ones, I tried the Bunnings ones but they really are useless, :emot-bang: , but all good once I got what I needed.

Anyway after a day of running around and then putting my whole system back together it's finally done, although I'm just waiting on new shorter HDMI cables to replace all of the too long ones currently in the system.

As this unit is taller than the last one I had a slight panic moment after I got it all together as the one thing I hadn't taken into consideration was whether it would be in the way of the PJ screen  , but as it's not as deep as the other unit the screen luckily comes down about 5mm in front of the unit and stops just above the centre channel, phew............:rolleyes::)

I've spent the weekend repainting the two brown walls in the lounge room, they are now a dark but warmish grey, also got rid of the old wall vents that were a bloody eyesore (gotta love plastering and painting :rolleyes: )

I've made a few changes in the last couple of months, new recliner lounge suite, got rid of the Mede8er media player and added a NAS which I'm using with the Apple TV 4 and Plex.

Of course as mentioned in other threads I've also replaced my PJ with the JVC X5000 sand added a Samsung UBD-K8500 4K player.0ECCA113-3B18-4701-A3CE-B9AD10E11A19_zps

What a great room , I like the new colour you have added as it seems to blend everything together nicely :)

That works very well . :thumb:

Nice work, looks amazing

New colors match the couch well and the whole thing just seems to work.

Nothing like new gear :) , particularly a 4K player, coool, wanting to get into 4K myself but is a big job all the speakers, reciever, projector, phew has come a very long way in the last year due to good work.

Well done, thanks for sharing.

Love getting new gear, the 4K setup is brilliant, you'd love a 4k setup especially in your room which is coming ahead in leaps and bounds.  :D

Haha they're just reflections from the coasters on the side tables....................however....................as soon as the 2016 Denons are released I'll be getting the X-4300H as it has two extra channels of processing and then yes I will be adding another two ceiling speakers.  I'll probably get the speakers themselves in the next few weeks.   :D  :D  :P

Game Of Thrones theme would get the place rattling but not as much as the Vikings theme. ;)

Look lovely Kaz, you must be very happy with your efforts.

Thanks Darren.  :)

Yep GoT theme, especially in Atmos does get the place rattling. :D

I need to catch up on Vikings, but yes it certainly gets a rumble going.   :P

Hi Kazz

Awesome room, can only imagine how good movie nights must sound in there!!

2 questions...

I can't see the side surround speakers, only the rear surrounds in the pictures. In a previous post I read you had Concept 6's ,I'm guessing they are just out of view?

Judging by your latest pics it appears the Concept 10's are now toed in a little more than in the OP. If so, how do you find the sound in comparison? This I something I've been toying with lately. Though fairly difficult to get right in my setup as I have to sit quite close to the speakers.

Cheers

Yep the 6's are still there, just out of shot.

I've toed the fronts in a little more, I'm experimenting with the amount of angle, I'll watch a  couple of movies on the weekend to give them a good go and see if I like it.

I've always been an upgrader but I'm hoping to just kick back and enjoy the system as it is for a while now.

I had to actually look up the 7010 with vu meters as I hadn't ever heard of it.  :P

From what I can gather it doesn't actually exist, it was a photoshop job done by a youtube blogger.

Fooled me bigtime :(
