Bronal Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 I've just bought two male mannequin heads to store my headphones on. They are nicely made of made of some kind of plastic - problem is, they are bright red! And so I need to paint them another colour. Can anyone tell me what kind of gloss/enamel paint is best for adhesion to an existing painted surface. I'd like to get somehting in a spray can, if possible.
Aslan Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Paint them BLUE Alan. You really need three though! Not sure on paint options..............If theyre plastic a brush on water based paint might be the safest option without risking disolving the plastic.
Soultone Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Where did you get them from bronal? I have been searching everywhere for the glass ones which seem to escape me everytime I get near a spotlight or haberdashery store. I would leave them red.

One of the leading national wide mobs that do this stuff - Mei and Picchi. Anyways I asked her a day or two ago..do you have any those heads that could be used to keep headphones on...yeah we do...oh I had a whole heap of silver ones that were defective and they told me to throw them away but couldn't do that so gave them to an Art school...ok next time let me know I said and I will find some homes for them on SNA.

djb Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 plastic is hard to paint as its so shiny. if u do get the paint 2 stick it will chip easily when dry -that is if the enamel doesnt dissolve it like in some salvador dali nightmare! david
