I am with Telstra home broad band / 50plan and the price is going up soon ,have been with them for 15 years , been looking around and may change over to Spintel 100/20 or 250/25 plan which is cheaper than Telstra and faster .

Are any members here in Perth WA who have changed over to Spintel and have used  their Telstra modem ( mine is the Gen 2 smart about 3 years old ) Have checked that it is compatible . Was it straight forward to use just connect and reboot

as the sales person on the phone told me or was there more to it . Looked on the net for customer reviews some positive and some negative but none who have reused their Telstra modem .

Any advice would help me in making a choice .

Thanks for that info Jeddie , I have spoken to Spintel and they have confirmed I can use my old Telstra modem , its just that there are lots of customers who have used there

previous modems which have been compatible and could not get them to work . I was wanting to know if any members here in Perth have had problems and what they did .

I am very good at setting up modems , the modems they supply are not the best to use for gaming .
