Anyone used one of these on there work bench?

I'm working on a amplifier PCB with SMD...   After cateract surgery  having both lenses in both eyes replaced, I have difficulty seeing tiny items and anything up close so I need reading glasses to read.  It's a challenge to micro items compared to before surgery.   Don't get me wrong,  replacing both lenses changed my life so I  dont have to wear glasses to see..

If you have this on your work bench are they beneficial or can a magnifying glass with a round lamp do?

I had double cat surg.  a year back and like you require readers. I got a cheap over glasses magnifier head set which works OK but not fabulous. Much cheaper than what you are looking at but may not do what you are trying to do.

I don't know if this helps but Dave was impressed from memory. Mind you he got it for free! I would say the jaycar is a rebranded something or other...

@aussievintage  can that camera be plugged into another larger screen?

Not directly, but most USB microscopes can be accessed by camera apps on a computer, so you can display the image on your laptop for example.
