Gieseler Audio Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 (edited) Note the price is $100 for the pair This was a Jarcar speaker kit from the late nineties. It used a Vifa D19 Tweeter & a Jaycar 6.5" woofer. I have the original 1997 Electronics Australia article so please PM if you would like to see it. Dimensions: h 337mm w 216mm d 290mm Approximately 13L internal volume. Weight 5.5Kg each packed. 20mm double timbre veneer with lock mitre joints - finish Australian Jarrah - natural unsealed so will need finishing. They have a nice weighty high-quality feel about them so with a nice finishing job they should look really nice. It will need the front edging glueing on & a grill made up so so reasonable DIY skills (grill cloth & clips supplied) Ideally, I would prefer local pick up, but they are all packed up so if you want to take all responsibility and arrange a courier for pick up no problem. Smartsend are great and easy to get an online quote. https://www.smartsend.com.au The Vifa D19 is still available from Digikey Australia at $30 SB Acoustics woofers will fit nicely with just a tiny adjustment to the hole (.5mm) Available from the Loudspeaker kit. http://www.theloudspeakerkit.com/sb17mfc35-8-sb-acoustics-6.5-mid-woofer-mfc Woofer cutout 144.5mm rebate 172mm. Brad- Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 Well this is timely! I've just been reading about these to use as surround and height speakers as an alternative to Dali concept 1. How many do you have? You just have the cabinet right? No cross over or drivers. Brad
Gieseler Audio Posted November 23, 2023 Author Posted November 23, 2023 Hi Brad, two pairs in Jarrah left. I have one pair of the SB acoustic woofers & possibly one pair of SB Acoustic tweeters which would suite. I will check & work out costs on those tomorrow. I could also design & order some crossover PCBs as I have five pairs of cabinets in black undercoat as well. Lots of options - I will post some more details tomorrow. 1
