Dacman Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 (edited) Further Information: Brand new HPA and power adapter with original box...opened but ever used. It's 24v so a nice linear power supply would be very beneficial. Edited July 3, 2023 by Dacman 1
Silver Audiophile Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 (edited) I was listening to my Musical Fidelity X-CAN headphone amp this morning. When I got mine, I swapped out the pair of 6922 (ECC88) tubes, for a NOS Mullard from the 1950s. NB. the NOS ECC88 tubes are plentiful in choice and reasonably cheap. Way back, I once own the Musical Fidelity M1 HPA (class A, all solid state, no tubes). This headphone amp was thin sounding, flat, and very unemotional/low grade sound. This X-Can the opposite, night and day difference! Folks on scale of sound quality: Musical Fidelity M1 HPA: 2/10 Musical Fidelity X-CAN V3: 8/10 Edited July 2, 2023 by Silver Audiophile 1
