Crabsticks Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 Mission 753 speakers finished in Rosewood veneer. Condition of cabinets is generally quite good (no peeling, blistering etc), with some very minor marks. Would take very little work to get them minty, I just don't have the time. Happy to send as many images as requested to an interested party. I bought from the original purchaser around 4yrs ago. Had them brought here from the UK in custom boxes. Australian customs very kindly opened one speaker box with a knife, hence a tiny slice on top of one cabinet. Thankfully this wasn't deep and is very fine (and impressively straight). The original owner bought replacement x-overs from Mission, which he included in the sale to me but had never installed himself. He also purchased some new tweeters to replace the very average stock ones, again new in box when I bought. I had an electronics tech friend wire in the new x-overs and tweeters and they sound immense. Probably had 200hrs on them since the work was done. Happy to demo how good these are for a local purchaser, they really are quite surprising. I will be embarking upon a house reno next year and these will just end up being moved or stored. Rather than risk damaging them and have the drama I have regretfully decided to sell. 3
Polish_Bear Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 Just curious why you rated the drivers 9/10? Any damage or issues? Otherwise, I would love to come check them out
Aberdeen fc Posted January 3, 2023 Posted January 3, 2023 I’m also very interested in having a look at these speakers

I certainly feel that they are in a 10/10 condition, however being used I feel that 9/10 is an appropriate rating. No damage, no issues and sound great. Thanks, D.

The age of these speakers is the only reason not to give a 10/10, because they are not brand new. However, they are otherwise perfect. It really does not require a genius to know this, but truth is stranger than fiction.. All the best with the sale and great speakers in all respects. Crabsticks Posted January 4, 2023 Author Posted January 4, 2023 These are now sold to a new entrant into the hi-fi world! I'm sure these will kick start his love affair with hi-fi and a strong relationship with his bank manager Cracking first set of speakers. 2
