billrisky Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Hi all Are the Sony TA-N77ES Power Amps worth $4-5k. I want one because I have seen one in the flesh and those gauges yum yum yes please. I looked at the Yamaha S3200 and it just doesn't does dot it for me and the price as well. What does everyone think?

Then it's "worth" ... whatever you have to pay, to get hold of one! What spkrs do you have? (The limited amount of info I was able to find on it suggested it may not cope well with 'hard-to-drive' spkrs - ie. low impedance & wicked phase curves.)

Hi andyr Set of Whatmough P33 Signature. Not hard to drive. Just absolutely besotted by those meters. Never though looking at meters so big would just sucke me in. So $4-5k is what hey are worth? Second problem is finding one on a non dodgy site and its 240v. Cheers Bill.

For hard to drive you'd probably need TA-N1, but then you wouldn't have the meters!
