Hi guys,

I'm looking for recommendations for a used amp with details as follows:

-  Hybrid integrated (interested to try the tube / SS combo)
- Budget of $3000 to $4000
-  Happy for the amp to be up to 10 years old or more if that means getting something higher end / better at a lower price
-  Planning to buy and run the amp with some ATC SCM11s to begin with (interested to try these speakers), but keen for the amp to have ample power to keep options open for future speaker upgrades
-  Source will be a streamer (model TBD)
-  Room size will be 'medium' with high ceilings
-  No specific sound preferences - just whatever units are well regarded

I have tried web searching for amps of this type but I figure more knowledgeable members of the stereonet community will be able to rattle off a few options based on experience.

Any suggestions much appreciated :)

I'm aware you are going to get a heap of worthwhile recommendations from knowledgable members here, however, I would seriously contemplate purchasing 2nd hand and this hybrid intergrated amp would be perfect. I've owned one of these and the 6922/E88CC tube preamp stage feeding the MOSFET SS power stage is certainly worthwhile. I beta tested this unit for Gianni @ Pathos many years back and can advise a tweak that would help with XLR connection 2.

Edit: Just adding there is plenty of power available in reserve.

@benjoza

These should sound very very good with them, fairly easy load. And only $2k.  And with the money you save get a preamp. And he's in Perth!!!!!

And being Class-A have that tube smoothness yet with solid state impact, detail and drive.

(PS make sure with the owner all electrolytic caps have been replaced)
