Logitech Harmony Companion - Remote Issue

Featured Replies

Hi all

I have an existing Logitech Harmony Companion product that has been working perfectly. The other day my remote seemed sluggish and then stopped responding. I thought it was a dead battery but I've since replaced it and the remote still seems non-responsive.

The Harmony hub is still lit up yellow and seems to be working fine and I can control the hub perfectly with my iphone via the iOS Harmony app. It's as if the remote has randomly lost sync. Has anyone else had this problem before and sorted a fix? Would be great to get the remote sorted as it's almost brand new..

I posted in the Logitech Harmony Support forum almost 2 weeks ago with no response (as expected I guess given Logitech is now out of the remote space). :(

This sort of thing really p***es me off. In the past few years many companies have been asking consumers to spend big dollars for hardware, as well as many hours  configuring set-ups, and then just dropped support.

@OzJustin, sorry I don't have an answer, it's just a vent. Hopefully it's a temporary glitch and not due to something more permanent like an iOS upgrade that the Logitech no longer supports.

Thanks. Unfortunately I have been unable to solve the issue. The remote is now a paperweight and I just use my phone to control everything. The phone actually works better and has better functionality, but I am rather annoyed that the remote is almost brand new (maybe 30 hours use since new) and then just stopped working out of the blue. I tried the Harmony forums for support but no response after several months. Very disappointing!

There's another thread about Harmony discontinuation on this forum, you've probably already seen it but several people contributed, there might be a lead there. Good luck ...
