They produce the MFP8 RJ45 LAN connector which has become the de-facto standard for high end audio LAN cable. The new audio LAN cable by telegaertner uses the special MFP8 IE GOLD RJ45 LAN connector. In addition to being gold plated (the standard version supplied to 3rd party is only nickel plated), it has a new substrate with gold plated contact and signal pins and is made to be less susceptible to micro vibration over the standard version. The result is a more detailed sound compared to the standard connector. The MFP8 IE GOLD Audio LAN cable uses 22 AWG S/FTP bare copper cable as conductor with Foam skin poly-ethylene dielectric and carbonised screen shield. The transmission frequency is measured to meet 1600Mhz bandwidth and 10G data transmission speed (CAT 8A). Each cable is individually measured, with its own test report, and serial numbered to certify it meets the rated bandwidth and data transmission speed.
