tsammyc Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 I just set up Movies Anywhere on my iPhone. Basically, you download an app and link the app to the streaming services you use. I linked mine to Amazon, Apple iTunes and Vudu. I happen to be visiting the US, but I'm sure you can use a VPN to sign up. Once I did that, all my iTunes movies appear on Movies Anywhere on the iPhone. I installed Movies Anywhere on my 4K Fire Stick and all the iTunes movies appear there as well. Interestingly, not all the iTunes 4K movies will play in 4K on the Movies Anywhere app, either on the iPhone or 4K Fire Stick. You know those Digital Movie codes in the Blu Ray boxes. I was able to register them in Movies anywhere. In the Movies Anywhere app, I had to choose a provider - iTunes, Vudu or Amazon. Interestingly, not all providers have 4K. Hence, when I was trying to register Captain Marvel, iTunes did not have 4K, but Vudu does. So, I registered with Vudu and it appears in 4K on the Movies Anywhere app on my iPhone. So, even though Apple doesn't have the 4K version of Captain Marvel, I can play it in 4K on my Apple devices through the Movies Anywhere app. I don't have my ATV 4K with me, but I presume that I will be able to play Captain Marvel on the ATV 4K in 4K using the Movies Anywhere app. HDR quality in on a large iPad is very good. I get home this weekend and will try on my projector. The only uncertainty currently is whether a ATV4K in Singapore will be geographic restricted in Movies Anywhere. The internet says no. Otherwise, I should be able to use the built in VPN in the fire stick 4K. Anyone want to sell their digital movie codes?
