jeromelang Posted May 27, 2015 Author Posted May 27, 2015 Your papa last time you small that time got tell you neber to stand in front of busses or not? ;D
pschia Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Let's think about it.... the $354 million of the tax-payers' money that the PAP spent on foreign students could have paid the school, polytechnic and university fees of every Singaporean student over the same period and then some and we would have universal free education in Singapore. Why didn't we? ???
jeromelang Posted May 28, 2015 Author Posted May 28, 2015 High voltage switch room. Highly dilapidated door. Blk 132 of Choa Chu Kang GRC. Where is PAP Punggol-Bedok Reservoir branch chairman Victor Lye when you need him? ??? The first thought that came to our mind was how Victor Lye and his minions and cronies would have highlighted this straightaway and with glee, blame AHPETC for the lack of maintenance, if it had been discovered in Aljunied GRC.....

ysl Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 If you rent out your HDB flat, you pay a higher property tax. Until 2013 or 2014, if your flat rental have no takers despite your efforts to rent it out, you can apply to IRAS for a tax refund, for the duration of the vacancy period. There was a period of about 1-2 months where I was not able to rent it out and so I wrote in to make a claim for the refund. I have since sold the flat. The reply from IRAS was that refund of the property tax on such rented out flat can only be paid to the current owner of the flat, and therefore because I've already sold the flat, IRAS will not refund the amount. But they have no question that I was the party the property tax was billed to, and it was paid in due time. The amount involved is not a small sum for me, but neither was it a significant sum, but I don't see any rational behind such a practice, neither did IRAS bother to reply to me, when I ask for the reason for such a policy. Because I don't see any reasoning behind it, and they choose to go silent on this, it leaves me to think once again we are treated as nobody they owe a reasoning to. And once again, going so low just to make a few bucks. Talking about transparency and being above board? How about starting from this own backward ?

pschia Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Shameless Copycat ! SEA Games Carnival by corporate sponsor Atos blatantly copied without permission or due credits the work of Lee Wen, 2005 recipient of the Cultural Medallion, who first presented his piece Ping Pong Go Round in 1998 in Melbourne, Australia. Chances are that he might get slapped with a court order under The Protection From Harassment Act if he doth protest too much. ::)
pschia Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 This was reported on both Yahoo! Sports and AFP News. Do you think she would be taken to task by the authorities? Then again, she is a staunch PAP ass-licking supporter so she would properly get away with murder even. ::)

domho8 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 [uPDATE 6 June 2015, 9.30am: Sharon Au apologises for the incident.] The glittering SEA Games opening ceremony on Friday night seems to be marred by a spot of controversy. Emcee Sharon Au could have ruffled some feathers with an inappropriate exchange with a young member of the audience during the ceremony's pre-show segment. Journalist Bhavan Jaipragas, who was covering the event, posted about the incident on his Facebook page. Au and her fellow emcees, Chua Enlai and Nikki Muller, were trying to encourage audience members to say the phrase “Hello [name of country], welcome to Singapore” to welcome the overseas delegates as they marched into the stadium. "In an audience interaction segment before the start of the SEA Games opening ceremony at the National Stadium, emcee Sharon Au approached an Indian girl seated in the stands. The girl did not perform the act as instructed (as did others before her). Au, speaking into a mike and with the cameras trained on her, shockingly put on a strong Indian accent, and while shaking her head from right to left asked the girl: 'What (Vat) happened? What happened?'” he wrote. Bhavan also added that Au made fun of the girl’s name. News agency AFP said Au "asked a small, ethnic Indian girl in the crowd to speak, and then mocked her accent". The exchange happened at about 7.45pm, before the live broadcast of the SEA Games opening ceremony. On Saturday morning, Au addressed the controversy in a Facebook post. "Some of you may have watched the pre-show and heard my attempt at mimicking an Indian accent," she wrote. "It was intended to be comic but in hindsight I realise how insensitive it was. I sincerely apologise to those whom I’ve inadvertently offended." https://sg.sports.yahoo.com/news/did-sea-games-emcee-make-racist-comment-before-opening-ceremony-150447137.html She apologized liao nothing liao, "Lets move on". ;D

pschia Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 People beware ! A Filipino company running a Ponzi scam type of MLM is here now in Singapore. This company, One Lightning Corporation, was even issued a Cease and Desist Order by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Philippines but somehow has managed to escape detection by our own CAD. http://www.tremeritus.com/2015/06/07/warning-one-lightning-corp-has-come-to-singapore/ There was an earlier report that a Pinoy VP of UOB, Ariel Casala, has been promoting it amongst the staff of UOB. I'm surprised that a bank like UOB is directly or indirectly propagating such a scam in Singapore.

Chances are that he might get slapped with a court order under The Protection From Harassment Act if he doth protest too much. ::) The Singapore Government has paid local artist Lee Wen an undisclosed sum for copying his art work, a rounded table tennis concept. Statutory board Sport Singapore (SportSG) and its vendor, Unusual Productions, have earlier met up with Lee Wen and his art gallery iPreciation for a discussion over the copied art work. KNN What a waste of taxpayers' money Laurence Wong should have insisted that the inspiration came to him in an group therapy session. Along the way more climb in, the hole got bigger, and somebody's tennis balls kena ping pong... ;D
