Whats for dinner at your place?

Featured Replies

I am home alone tonight, and left to fend for myself food wise. So as I ate my Braised steak and onions, fresh from the can, on toast, I thought to myself, "self, I wonder how the other members are eating right now?? So come on!! Out with it. Be sure to mention gravies and sauces when applicable.

Cheers Tanka

bangers & mash, with peas and mushroom gravy. Not just cheap bangers though.... Italian!!!!

Doing well tonight - Bangalow pork roasted stuffed with fig and dates, chips roasted in Mudgee olive oil, and green beans in a balsalmic vinaegrette. All washed down with a di Lusso aglianico - a wine new to me and di Lusso. Company, wife, sister in law, new kitten - music Purcell Odes and Welcomes. Best Friday night for ages having suffered a shattering run to Christmas work wise this year.

Can't complain.

BLT but hold the bacon, insert a freshly BBQed marinated pork fillet with pan fried onion, capsicum and honey brown mushrooms - I'd been to a Xmas do and only needed a light dinner

Cheers

I like Indian, but it takes 3 courses to get a whole one down

A Coopers mild ale

A Seppelt Fleur de le Sparkling wine

Danny O'Keefe on the stereo

Another Coopers mild ale

BBQ marinated chicken thigh fillets (skin off), with steamed whole baby potatoes & dressed salad (eat outside)

Another Coopers mild ale, or 2

Put up the XMAS tree

XMAS tunes on the stereo

Another Coopers mild ale

Another Coopers mild ale

A Glen Fiddich on ice

A filtered coffee (NOW)

A bit sleepy now, can't figure why... :)

We had a couple of friends who had dumped their sprogs, so I cooked thai.

Thai prawn salad issan style (plah goong)

Prik khing curry with minced pork and french beans

Tom khar gai (cocunut chicken soup)

Roast duck red curry with pineapple, tomatoes and basil

Washed down with Grolsch (men) and a 1996 Mitchelton marsanne (women)

Do they have "rings of fire" this morning Mr. G?

I counted and I used forty four small chillies and five large, plus whatever was in my red and prik khing curry pastes.

I had 400 beers or something like that.

Client xmas party last night. Lots of mingling. It gets a lot easier after the twelfthty pot of beer.

Food wise they had many roaming plates of heart attack inducing fried food. My resolve wained after beer 70million or there abouts.

I am hung over.

Off to gym to puke it out.

Good day

Ah! Coopers Mild, my beer. Sneeks up on you for a 'mild' if your not careful

G'day Grumpy

I am always trying different beers, but I always come back to Coopers Mild.

To me, I even think its the better Coopers beer. Bought a box of Coopers Sparkling recenty, didn't enjoy it as much. Still drank it though...

It was supposed to have a handful of grapes and thai eggplants. Couldn't be bothered with the former, and couldn't find the latter at the market. I normally get them near work in Dandenong.

  • 2 weeks later...

I just had a great little snack of Chilli Bug Tails and rice. There's a lot to be said for living in the tropics....great seafood. .

Now I dont want any arguments over whether Moreton Bay Bugs are better than Crayfish ok? And I dont care if you're being objective or not!
