tbln Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Got my package today via the mail today. Everything made it through . Same thing as etnt, no notifications from any authorities, package arrived unopened. Thanks for the update. There is hope yet for the rest in the same situation.
sdds Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 They told me they are till tracking , hopefully my package will arrive soon .
Dpoh Posted March 19, 2014 Author Posted March 19, 2014 Think no point asking anyone to track bro. For mine no one seems to know the whereabouts until it turned up that day. Just sign up email tracking updates on the speed post website and cross our fingers, give it another week...
Hero1624706161 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I spoke to Ms YenFen from WMG (DID 6513-4192) rgd my missing/late parcels and and she emailed me this : "As discussed, attached is the authorization letter from MDA. Appreciate you to fill in the necessary details for us to submit to MDA on your DVDs for classification. Kindly attach a copy of your NRIC/passport. Thank you." The attached authorisation letter states : "I would like to authorise the MDA Licensing Division to open the parcel and submit the videos for classification and certification. I undertake to pay the classification and certification fees. " When I ask why UPS and DHL dun have such thing happening, she reply SG Custom have right do random checks and their shipments are affected. I wonder if the problem is caused by the way WMG declares their shipment.... >:(
Hero1624706161 Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 They told me they are till tracking , hopefully my package will arrive soon . You probably spoke to Shirley. She sounded like a tired old lady and she said the same thing to me. When I pressed her for more info, she referred me to speak to her manager (Ms YenFen).
etnt Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 I think it's bull. The previous "confiscated/siezed" item that was eventually received was untampered with. Today I just received a boardgame which amazon's packaging is also untampered with after 9 days of getting stuch in the custom clearance status. And I have another 3 packages of boardgames that sure doesn't need MDA classification and certification that are stuck with their custom clearance status for more than a week and still not handed over to speedpost. Things just seems to be happening in slow-mo speed at their end (iparcel/wmg) regardless of the contents. Other non-amazon shipments that uses USPS priority gets to speedpost.
Count Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Hope all the bros who have their parcels held in limbo get them soon. Can totally understand the frustration. Even if they were intercepted by customs/MDA, one would think that this will be resolved quickly. No reason for further delay.
Guest jonlee Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I also have 2 BDs stuck in the lot that arrived in SG 4-Mar. Just emailed amazon and they offered a refund. I have another BD which amazon just shipped out. Will see if that disc arrives in normal time before I re-order my 2 stuck BDs. :) Another plus point to order from amazon. As long as buyer did not recieve, sure can get refund without any problem.
westendboy Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 This is the stupid form I have to fill in. Bloody hell! >:( I will not ask for refund unless I know the stuff are definitely not reaching me. If everybody asks for refund, very soon there won't be free shipping anymore. Now I have 2 parcels with them. One of them contain Criterion stuff which are old films. That shouldn't be a problem.

On my amazon tracking, it stated "Undelivered - returned". Please contact Amazon for follow up. :) So I contact Amazon to ask for the next step. They offered to refund. ;p

Icey2208 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Hi bro Westendboy, did they mail u the form to notified u that item with them? My item is nowhere to be found.. Damned....I am also facing the same issue. I do not mind filling up the form but WMG also wanted a copy of my NRIC which I am extremely uncomfortable with. Asked if driving license would sufficed, Yen Fen said that MDA specifically requires NRIC. I have double checked this with MDA and was told that that is the requirement >:(
etnt Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 There they are talking about 61% which illegally download video/music http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking-news/singapore/story/1-2-singaporeans-download-illegal-music-videos-poll-20140319, and here they are penalising those who want to legally purchase them.
ghosthack Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 The attached authorisation letter states : "I would like to authorise the MDA Licensing Division to open the parcel and submit the videos for classification and certification. I undertake to pay the classification and certification fees. " Any one know what the fees MDA charges for classification and certification for each disc? It is $1.80 net per title. Box sets are considered as one title. I have submitted the form and my NRIC to WMG. We have no option if we want our stuff. I have also checked with MDA regarding titles that don't pass. Either we let them dispose of it or we undertake to return the goods ourselves. This will require us to show proof that the item has been sent out of the country. There is also the option of appealing to MDA... as long as it's not porn. ;D

Icey2208 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Hi guys.. facing the same thing, call up MDA to verify regarding a copy of our NRIC and yes they need it.. its true $1.80 a copy will be charge if they need to be edit. otherwise its free..

canoli Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 think all R21 titles sure kena hold or kena force to 'export' ..... well.... no problem... it's cineravia-free player to the rescue again!! well, tried to support amazon & the likes but our gahmen think otherwise .... ah well just must make sure the discs do not get 'donated' to gahmen .... (u guys dun really believe it gets 'disposed of' right?)
westendboy Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 I will ask them for proof and documentation that they have disposed of it 8)
etnt Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Received email from wmg to submit authorization too. For br I understand, but they are requesting for it for a shipment of 5 board games?
Count Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Why suddenly so many parcels diverted to MDA? Have been buying from Amazon for years and years without this happening.
etnt Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 think only iparcel/wmg for some batch(es). Esp this coincides with the release of GoTS3 which I'm sure quite a fair bit of folks ordered and are all coming in the same batch.
