Thanks bro , that i must agree . Cons look ugly , poor resale value , bulky and heavy . The pros has u have mention real cinema sound making me to spent more time rewatching some of the old movies . Total no regrets changing to pro speakers .

Hi Bro, don't mean to hijack the thread.  I was searching the forum for help on setting up my home theatre and found this thread. The front LCR behind an acoustically transparent screen is exactly what I'm looking to build.

May I know what is the screen used? I'm thinking of DIY experiment using spandex like those discussed on avsforum.

Also, looking for recommendations to build the frame and support structure for the projector screen. Or maybe I can ask my renovation contractor to build the frame and mounting structure?

 

This will be a bedroom in a condo. Screen wall is 2.6m, length is 3.8m and 3m high ceilings.

One question - for waveguide speakers, it is often recommended to toe in the L and R up to 45 degrees for optimum soundstage. From your pics, the JBLs are all facing straight. Did you experiment with toe in?

Due to the wide disperson & size and space , didn't not toe in . Work fine for me ,was totally addictive when come to movies . ;D
