I've tried it as tabao at a friend's place. Its very good in flavour- prob slightly better than Boon Tong Kee imperial. Still cannot touch HK yellow fat chicken *sigh*

This Nasi Lemak looks very interesting: http://www.soshiok.com/critic/article/16129

reminds me of the good stuff Siriusly Cold bought me in KL....

Adam road stall No 2 for nasi lemak for me.  Stall 1 too slow. Only have the woman to serve.

Had chicken rice for my lunch today at 47 Tanglin Halt Road. The meat, chilli, ginger and soup were very nice.

Talking about Adam rd theres a nasi padang stall also.  ;D

IMHO, the Nasi Lemak at Adam is over-rated. There was a solid one at Whampoa market for breakfast, and the Changi and Chong Pang ones are good. The Adarm Road ones are def not worth the long queue...

Which one at whampoa bro?

Ask Yip CC or Heng ...

I used to buy breakfast from there for the dept meetings... a non-descript stall on the breakfast side of the market.

Anyway, one Saturday, come we go look fo breakfast together!

Other bros are welcome to join too.

Bak Kut Teh / Nasi Lemak / Dim Sum venture in the northwest!

Francis bro,

Do leave details of any good restaurants in Seoul, I'm heading there next month.

Most of the time, dinner will be at the Lotte food arcade (13th Floor) cos it's walking distance from the hotel. The above is beef noodles (Korean style) at Hanwoori Restaurant in Lotte.

Can you give me the manufacturer address so that I can go direct instead thru a shop which will definitely be mark up..... ::)

sashimi anyone? :D

Gosh. That is like swallowing a whole bottle of fish oil capsules....

I enjoy Akashi at basement of Paragon for its Omakase dinner (around $120ppax) which I believe is fairly good value. This includes a good spread of fairly large cuts of sashimi (otoro, sweet prawn, salmon belly etc) + another 4-5 courses which the chef will prepare. Especially like the korobuta pork with thin udon soup.

good morning bros!

i'm looking  to have some Chilli Crab in City Hall / town area . would be bring a friend from out of town who's short on time therefore town area would be best.

any recommendations ?  :D thanks!!

Jumbo at the Robertson Quay ?

I second that.

sashimi anyone? :D

Yes, please. Where's this from? Looks like chu-toro or something. Isetan? I love their sushi.

sashimi anyone? :D

great pictures and the sashimi looks great. care to indulge us and tell us where this can be found. my current haunt is the cheap $20++ japanese lunch buffet at tarafuku in 313 building. considering the price, the sashimi is surprisingly good ;D

wow jimi, you have a good eye, yes its from isetan. Isetan had a kyushu fair from 6th to 19th september, and every other day, one of the sashimi stalls there will fly in a ~50kg farmed blue fin tuna whole, and perform a dissection for customers to view. the box's a combination of kamatoro(from tuna collar) / otoro (from belly)

I guess no one is "glowing" from eating all the fish from Japan ;)

The local appetite for Jap seems to be back. Just think you can tell where the fish has been, what other fish it has eaten.. food for thought...

cooked food? decent for the price you pay. and where to do japanese buffet lunch with sashimi for only $20++. as with all restaurants,  the tell-tale sign that it is good, as in this case, is seeing japanese patrons there ;D

most japanese restaurant owners will tell you that since long time ago, they get their fish supplies from scandinavia and elsewhere
