Since we are talking about other watch brands in the other thread, thought to ask for recommendations. :)

Any brands to recommend for size 39 and below? Preferably 37, and don't mind 35.

I got a small wrist so despite the current trend for big watches, I still got to get a small one. If it's above 37, the strap needs to be flat moving off from the body.

Price range less than $10k list price if possible, but flexible. No issue with cheaper. :P

Automatic preferred. Metal strap preferred.

Watch for office wear, but can be a little sporty.

My current suspects are Rolex, rado, bvlgari, and omega, but looking for more options.

39mm or lower... go for explorer 2 or submariner.. and must have for business executive.. if you dont like rolex.. maybe you can consider AP RO which i think its 36mm? should be less than 10k...

a friend of mine had his tagheuer automatic chronometer knocked hard once when his baby nephew threw it onto the marble floor. it chipped the floor but the watch is still working fine. a few years ago he accidentally brushed his wrist against a wall. it scratched the watch slightly but the hands of the omega automatic chronometer he was wearing fell out :o.

now he only uses the hardy tagheuer for sports and the omega for office wear. there is no resale value for both  watches by the way :)

I recommend Hublot from Geneve, my favourite. Available at Hour Glass. I own a few of them. Very unique and simple design. They're known more for their special black rubber straps which make the watch really outstanding and are very comfortable too. This brand is very low profile. But since it spotted on lots of famous people and royal families, it start get notice.  What I like about it is it can match whether you're in formal or sporty. Price within your budget. :)

Another recommendation is legendary Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch. Must have for all collectors. Most well known watch in the world! Timeless design and a real classic (fully manual). Go for the limited edition clear back if you can find it.

Hi, thanks for recommendations. :D

ical, hublot looks very nice but the ones i like are 41-44. pretty big!

will check out the rest, and do keep the recommendations coming!

For Tag, i think the standard discount is 20% but you can get up to 25%? Hope I am not wrong, but that is generally the range for most watches.

Already own some Tags so thinking of moving away from the brand.

Buy a watch which you must like immediately when you see it and in addition to brand name and reliability. Don't buy watch  which use celebrities(unless classic model) to sell as chances they will be discontinued with low  resale value. Eg Tag The trend now is that most people 20 to 50  prefer sports or military watches.

I am an amateur collector who believes in those brands that are common during my father's time, such as TITONI and SANDOZ and others... hence not as well knowledge as the other brudders here.

But i have really hard time to hunt the TITONIs with red flower logos...

how abt this Titoni? got this watch manys years ago, seldom wear. now switch more to sports watch.

Hey... i got the same watch as you do... took me quite sometime to find it... @ little india ! If i'm not wrong...i paid about $400 3yrs back!
