Excellent!

I seem to remember David Price has been a long-standing and enthusiastic advocate of Yamaha NS1000 speakers and I think he continued to use them as his reference speakers despite copping some flac for doing so?

Of course, I therefore think he's a man of impeccable taste with a superb ear, who is a great choice for EIC.:thumb:

He's en-route to Melbourne as we speak so I'll be sure to ask him about the NS-1000 story. :)

I know from the time we spent together in Munich earlier this year he's a big advocate for calling it how it is, and always maintains the greatest respect for his readers. I am sure our entire editorial team will learn loads under his direction and I look forward to it.

Well Marc, I'm impressed.

I read many of David Price's reviews over the years in Hifi World. 'Nuff said.

Congratulations, and best wishes for a (nother) fantastic show.

That's good to hear Marc

I strongly expect that I will soon be able to give him something to get his teeth stuck into regarding 'Calling it how it is'.

Since stereo.net now has international affiliated forums in other countries, this could be a great way to use all of them for a common purpose, as I suspect a lot of those forum members in other countries would also be effected by what is going down ATM with a particular manufacturers....let's just say, previously unknown policy regarding certain areas it's products are sold.

I'm giving the manufacturers Australian representative a chance to reply to a email I sent them yesterday before I say more, but if true to form, I'm expecting them to try to fob me off with a excuse that I know, after doing some research on the manufacturer in questions own websites, will not be true.

If that happens, it's gloves off, and I'll be sending you the details so a effective plan could be put together in a hope of utilizing the various forums, in a effort to stop the practice in question happening again in the future.

Maybe contact Interpol.

With all the dodgy people up on the Gold Coast [going by my nieces clients she does bookkeeping for] I suspect Interpol would have a permanent office up there.
