My portable music is provided by birds (I type to a chorus of tuis, bellbirds, waxeyes, magpies et al) and cicadas. These are wireless hi fidelity devices with no battery drain.

If I'm at the beach, or with company, I don't listen to music. Conversation is preferable.

I live in central Auckland. So I get to hear the odd sparrow, or seagull...but mainly its car/bus/train noise.
