I had a talk to a gentleman who was laying a MASSIVE (extremely massive) insurance claim after his shipping (domestic I think) was botched. By that, I mean as it was being inspected on Christmas Eve, some of the workers wanted to finish faster, and some had already started the Christmas celebrations.... and used some furniture as a urinal. Lots of damage.

Hey Jon, I started the thread about 5 years ago & shipped the gear out October 04. All OK except for a cracked pcb in the little Sony system that wasn't covered because there was "no sign of external damage"... My cd player's audio outputs didn't work (digital output was fine) but that was sorted with a 10c fuse.

The 5 days we've had them at home has proved to us how fantastic they are so we don't regret the decision one bit.

 

How did you find the 'power' of your amp with the Revelations? Did you feel it was enough to drive them happily, I take it your amp is 70W?

The amp is, I think, 65W and had no problem with the Revelations at all - the volume was incredible and the amp was under no stress at all.

 

I believe Chris had been using a lower powered tube amp with them prior to my audition. I think they're "only" 1 db or 2 less sensitive than my Triangles.
