Teac C-2X Cassette Deck Parts Needed

Recommended Posts

Guest Simonon

WES components have a good selection of belts ( just google them)
Try cleaning the rubber idlers and pinch rollers with a cotton bud and some Isopropyl first if they have not perished or gone sticky. I sometimes lightly buff them with some 1200 emery paper if too shiny. Pinch rollers and belts may be available on Ebay with a search.
Tape speed, wow and flutter may be an issue as motors are sometimes faulty. Hope this helps

While I'd like to get my Teac C-2X Cassette deck going again at some point, I decided to look for alternative devices to use with my cassette collection.

So now I have a NAD 6050C 2-Head Tape Deck to go with my NAD 3020 and 4020A setup in my home office.

There's a Nakamichi ZX-7 3-Head Cassette Deck coming to replace the Teac C-2X on the vintage hi-fi setup. I expect to use this unit to transfer old cassette based albums I can't locate on CD to FLAC files at some point.

A Denon DRM-700 3-Head Cassette Deck is coming to go on the Denon based system in the master bedroom.

That should just about do it.
