The timing, while completely coincidental, is good because What HiFi? have just announced they are closing down their forums, much to the dismay of their very large and active community.

Would you prefer it if SNA Australia members didn't join the UK site?  I'm thinking that potential UK members might be put off joining if there is an influx of Australian members.

 

That aside, it will be very interesting to have easy access to news and discussion on brands that are little-known (or even unknown) here.

As a comparison, I think Marc has been welcoming of Aust. members joining the NZ SNA - and their members were welcoming of me joining. 

 

I can't see a problem joining the UK site, as it's just starting it probably needs people to join and post, so a community starts which will encourage more participation.

A thing to note when joining the UK or NZ StereNet's. 

You cannot register with the same email for these sites - you require a different email for each. 

I've just joined the UK forum, looks like they need a bit of help to get the community established.

That's not actually the case @audiofeline - the sites are completely independent of one another.

Thanks for the clarification, but it wouldn't accept my emails.  Anyway, I've managed to join OK, so no problem.
