These are the second largest floorstander in Kef's top of the line Reference series, released 1994 to 1999. This pair presents very well; is in excellent condition, has the more expensive Rosetta Burr finish - with only a couple of minor blemishes on the cabinets (see photos). Meticulously looked after since purchase - 3 years ago. IMO they are neutral, detailed, have a fantastic midrange, and produce quite astounding and tone-full bass when called for. Front ported design and Uni Q tweeter combination, makes them quite forgiving in terms of room placement, and provides a large sweet spot. 4 way, 5 driver Floorstanders 6.5" upper midrange with 1" Uni Q tweeter 6.5" midrange 2 x 8" bass drivers. Design - each bass driver is enclosed within an inter-ported cavity, and fire away from the each other. A vibration cancelling rod is placed between the two drivers. Specs: Size: 1137 x 275 x 340mm Weight: 35kg each Nominal Impedance: 4ohms Frequency response: 40Hz to 20kHz +/-3dB at 2m on reference axis Sensitivity: 91dB at 1m/2.83V (anechoic conditions) Maximum output: 115dB on programme peaks under typical listening conditions *Also advertised elsewhere* Happy to audition for serious buyers. audio_file Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Where are the blemishes? Is it possible to take a close up of these blemishes? The finish looks like the Rosetta Burr finish.
Audiobliss Posted September 13, 2017 Author Posted September 13, 2017 Photos of marks added. Yes you're right, that's the Rosetta Burr finish.
