Yay all games live on fox next year cant wait so sick of delayed telecasts

i wish i was so lucky

here in perth looks like friday nights blockbuster will be on delay (possibly 2 hours), and sat night looks like delay according to tv guide in sunday times.

need to know which pubs have the illegal sat feed coming in ... or where how to torrent the games live if thats possible....

if you have a spare foxtel/austar satellite dish on your roof get a vast box and apply for the travllers option and say you are going to Tasmania this will give you live Friday night footy thats what i have done. Know one gets knocked back it will give you the eastern states channels, ven if you are in WA and you can renew it every 6 months have a look on ebay for one they will activate it for you

G'day DansDans,

No MainEvent during finals it seems!

There's a slight conflict with the Sydney listings, with the AFL site saying Sydney go LIVE from 7:30pm on Ten, while all the guides are saying 10:30pm

I remember a few years ago, still living in Canberra, where Main Event was used for the finals (this was the first year of the 7/10 deal)

Was it like this last year too McD?

With regards to coverage of West Coast v Carlton into Sydney this Saturday night, it is scheduled to be broadcast live (all four hours of coverage) from 7.30pm on ONE. The main channel replay (on Ten) is scheduled for just after 10.30pm.

G'day Aurora8,

As good as that sounds, it also doesnt sound like it's something they're allowed to do unless Ten have got permission from the government for an exemption, especially for finals, I would think the rule stating that the match has to be on the main channel first is still the rule they have to follow

Stupid Fox Sports - why not show this replay on Saturday evening? This should be a cracker of game.

In fact, I would replay BOTH games on saturday night - give us a taste of who our Grand Finalists will be the next week.

As sad as it is to see the end of the season, its been a long way coming

As always McD - another EXCELLENT broadcast thread. Should be an easier one for you next year!

G'day,

The one omission that was made from the listings was for Friday Nights match

A.C.T. and N.S.W. including Sydney at 10:30pm on Seven and Prime

Qld including Brisbane at 10:30pm on Seven

Gold Coast at 10:30pm on Prime

The replay of the Geelong v West Coast match on Fox Sports 2 is now at 6pm, probably due to the Champions League T20 competition being picked up

Hmm a HD replay on FTA - well, its something

Will be very sad to see the end of 10 after 10 years, they've been awesome and the most innovative with their broadcasts. Ch 7 is in a world of hurt for the next 5 years as attendances and ratings drop

It's here in Sydney too just so you know. There's a 9.30 replay elsewhere too AFAIK.

G'day Aurora8,

Thanks for that, it looks to be nationwide then, which makes more sense than the other guides I saw for other areas!

Hopefully it's in HD too

G'day,

The announcement on the TV deal has been made

Foxtel/Austar will have all 9 Games LIVE every week

For Free To Air, Seven has the rights where Friday nights will be LIVE in Victoria, it'll be on 7mate in A.C.T, N.S.W. and Qld LIVE

South Australia are on a 30min delay on Friday Nights, and W.A. on a reduced delay than what they have now on Seven

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tab...60/default.aspx

New Foxtel channel "Fox Sports AFL" will be launched, all games originating from Fox Sports will be in HD, and commercial free siren to siren

Free To Air broadcasts on Foxtel, will be upscaled on the HD channel

So I take it that when the TV deal was announced, 7 had no intention of broadcasting in HD ?
