Hi, i am using an xbox (modded) with xbmc and the dvd rom is playing up

i normally use it for networked media viewing, but sometimes i need the dvdrom for games

i am interested in a 2nd hand xbox if someone here in perth wants to sell

i would prefer one already with xbmc

otherwise i will just get one from EB games 2nd hand

Hey do you know if you buy a power y splitter you can just retrofit a normal dvd-rom (any brand and firmware to the xbox) and loop the power though the original drive but connect the data cable to the new drive and mount the new drive on top of the xbox? This is good if looks are not an issue this would work good, you just have to press the open switch on the 360 and the eject button of the DVD-rom at pretty much the same time. I used to run this setup back in the day to quiet the box up and it also used to load games heaps faster.

Oh and btw I have one for sale in brisbane if anyones interested, it has an 80gb hd chameleon chip with xbmc, also has the logitech wireless controller.
