Safety?

I really have absolutely no idea what you are on about.

What "guidelines" are you after?

What "policy" is missing?

This poll was made by me, in response to a year's worth of querying about post counts. I up until now, haven't posted about it, and thought the climate was right to ask. Given the reaction last time a change was "forced" upon the crowd, I thought it best to open the floor as it were. A decision has not been made, and in fact my original assumption of how the decision would be reached has actually gone full circle and I've swung the other way.

So I'm really not sure what conspiracy theory you are operating on, and why you are digging far deeper than you should for such a basic matter.

No conspiracy theory.

I thank you for answering my query on "guidelines" and "policy".

Safety?

Isn't that the thing we forget to consider before we hit the "add reply" button... :o:D

Out of interest, When I hit "View new Posts" does anything in OT get displayed. Was keeping an eye out for this thread but had to go looking and found out 20 other people had posted after me. Begs the question:

"If a person posts in OT and it doesn't appear in 'View new posts' has the post ever really happened?

Regards

Peter Gillespie

As I said before, OT posts are filtered out from the "view new posts" link :winky: The post is still on the board however.

Well done for changing the sig Andrew.

i'll speak to the pope & put him up for sainthood............once he puts the fire out in his pants

The Pope has trouble in his nether garments? :o

No it doesn't.

But this thread should as the "Suggestions, Help and Forum Announcements" forum is included in the "View New Posts" link.

:Strike: damn.. match broke...

Cheers,

Burney

And too think I got in trouble for "Quality not Quantity".

Caniffe, Can I change my vote?

You know what I voted so let's go with the opposite.

Or option 3 is ok as well.

Bitey - last warning.

Bitey - last warning.

Maybe I don't understand whats goin on here and it wouldn't be the first time but isn't Bitey just saying this thread is bollocks and all its done is show how ugly us humans can sometimes treat each other not just on this forum but in the world in general?

Whoever runs this place just make the decision and if people don't like it there'll be plenty of other places out there where they can go and get off on abusing people over such minor things like a post count! I didn't know benthx but it made me sad to read he had passed away and it was incredible seeing all the nice things people had to say about the guy...it makes you realise this thread and the whole post count war is pretty poor form! :(

I've decided I dont care what happens as Im addicted to this forum and will happily post where ever I feel like posting at the time. :ninja:

Ive just got one more thing to say on the matter before I head back to THB for a quick dip in the tub :)

..Foster communication among consumer and viewers of digital television in Australia... I believe the OT is strongly fostering communication among consumers and viewers of digital television in Australia and whilst threads and posts contained within said sub-forum may not be congruent with the overarching theme of the bulletin board (Digital TV), they are however strongly aligned with the principle of engendering a strong online community and social interaction between the consumers and viewers of digital television in Australia. As such OT contributions should be duly recognised as contributing to the overall development of and alignment with this goal of On-Line Forum Pty Ltd.

We have a winner.

Given the general feedback and underlying theme therein, OT post counts are here to stay; thanks for your input all.
