My actual birthday tunes were uninspiring to say the least :(

So,I thought I'd fast forward to my 16th.

The timing was right

Punk was in full swing

You could smell the anarchy in the air. B)B)B)

No. 1 in Oz was "the way that you do it" by Pussycat

No. 1 in the UK was "don't give up on us,baby" by David Soul(Hutch)

I have no real reason to remember (like everyone else I suspect, it was quite forgettable), but like most things that are meaningless in my life, I remember 'em.

Now if I could just find my bloody car keys.

There were no charts when I was born.

One of my family had an acetate (I think) of "You Belong to Me" by Jo Stafford which was supposed to be the hit of the year when I hit the deck bum first.

Had a big hole in the middle so my toolmaker father made up an adapter to play it on the home radiogram.

Probably ended up as a frisbee many years later.
