Guest PLEASE_ENTER_NAME Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 I have a Hitachi 32” LCD which seems to be fine, however I have recently bought a LG HD STB (LST-5100P) and now when I watch the TV the sound crackles for the first 5 minutes (after that it is fine), there is no problem with the picture. I’ve tried using the HDMI input and 2 component inputs and all do the same thing. I’ve taken the STB to LG repairs twice now and they have found no fault with it. Nothing else seems to crackle on the TV, I’ve tried DVD players, XBOX etc and all is fine expect for the STB. I have only tried the STB on one other TV and that was an LG LCD at the warranty centre and it worked fine, so now I don’t know which one is playing up. Any Ideas ???
pgdownload Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 Well logic would dictate that its the combination of your 2 boxes that is causing the issue. It might also have something to do with your reception so you should discount that. Best bet (IMO) is to find a portable TV and plug it into your setup at home. Regards Peter Gillespie
Foggy Posted May 28, 2006 Posted May 28, 2006 It could be the particular audio input that you're using for the STB.
