Santa1503559644 Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Boy, the dweebs, apologists and butt-kissers woke up to this pretty quickly, and got acting feeverishly fast - looks like it won't last much longer!
minchjp Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 I sent the following email to the whitehouse: Did you know that when you type 'failure' into Google (http://www.google.com/), the first page is titled "Biography of President George W. Bush" (www.whitehouse.gov/president/gwbbio.html), just thought you might like to know so you can bring to Google to justice for this unpatriotic act. Your friend and loyal admirer, (My Name). P.S. G'day from Australia! And after sending that email, I got this in reply: On behalf of President Bush, thank you for your correspondence. In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, President Bush and all Americans send their thoughts and prayers to the families of those who have lost lives and to all those affected by this natural disaster. The President is directing Federal agencies throughout the government to do all in their power to assist the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The top priority is to save and sustain lives. President Bush established a White House task force to oversee Hurricane Katrina response and recovery, and he convened a Cabinet meeting to ensure that Federal agencies' efforts are timely and fully coordinated. Residents of the Gulf Coast states affected by the hurricane have lost loved ones, lost homes, and been displaced from their communities, and they will have the full support of the Federal government. The President has called for the coordination of all parties involved in the response and relief efforts. Federal, state, and local governments are working side-by-side to deliver relief to the areas physically damaged by Hurricane Katrina and to communities across the South that will be affected in the aftermath of the storm. Efforts and resources are focused on saving lives, sustaining lives, and supporting long-term recovery. For information and guidance you may wish to visit the FEMA website at www.fema.gov or call 800-621-3362 or 800-621-FEMA. The President has called on all Americans to support the relief and rescue efforts through charitable contributions and aid. Americans who wish to contribute can do so by contacting charities that are assisting with hurricane relief. For more information on relief and recovery efforts, please visit the USAFreedom Corps website at www.usafreedomcorps.gov. Thank you again for taking the time to write. Looks like they won't take me seriously
DavoNogo Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 pfft.. it's probably a generic reply.. unless you had some hating words towrads America in the email, I doubt they would have read your email.

riley454 Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 I sent the following email to the whitehouse:Did you know that when you type 'failure' into Google (http://www.google.com/), the first page is titled "Biography of President George W. Bush" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe the shitehouse just used keywords from your email. "failure" & "george w bush" And his latest failure was the inept handling of the Katrina tragedy and thus the generic reply. If the word "success" was in your mail, you probably would get details of his ability to perfect the Maxwell Smart grin

mello yello Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Ha ha ha Faux News just ran a sombre toned story about it. They tried to label it as Google being reponsible for libel. (must have been your email minicjp because this has been out there for about 2 years now) I thought something could only be considered libelous if it were UNTRUE. Dubya said so himself something like "we have failed" or "I am resposible for bla bla bla whatever , I try not to listen to his bullshyt
Santa1503559644 Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 Anyone else see that news item re the zoom photo shot of Dubya asking for a potty break?? Priceless!

pneu Posted September 18, 2005 Author Posted September 18, 2005 I was just reading about the evils of Google at GoogleWatch Can you trust Google with a database of all the search terms you've ever used?
nexx Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Wikipedia A Google bomb or Google wash is an attempt to influence the ranking of a given site in results returned by the Google search engine. Due to the way that Google's PageRank algorithm works, a website will be ranked higher if the sites that link to that page all use consistent anchor text.
pneu Posted September 19, 2005 Author Posted September 19, 2005 # lying sack of sh*t returns the Parliamentary web page of Australian Federal Attorney General Phillip Ruddock. This bomb was suggested by weezil and executed by a number of Australian bloggers in protest of Ruddock's protracted political smear of the now exonerated Mamdouh Habib# Old Rice And Monkey Nuts returns the website of Herald Sun columnist Andrew Bolt. The phrase is an obscure reference to Tirath Khemlani, a Pakistani commodities trader who was involved in brokering an improbable US$4 billion loan deal to the Australian Government under Prime Minister Gough Whitlam in 1974. Khemlani was known derisively by his usual line of trade - rice and monkey nuts. As he was involved in commodities and not financial transactions as a rule, it was believed that Khemlani did not have access to the funds as he claimed but would attempt to oblige the Australian Government of the day to pay a huge commission for arranging the proposed loan. The bomb was perpetrated at the suggestion of Ausculture for reasons unknown. For the first one you gotta choose "pages from Australia".
pneu Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 Uh oh, there's a Googlebot on the forums...you know what this means? They're logging all of this! See now I'm starting to think Google are seriously evil, not only have they got their greasey mitts in potentially every website, but also in forums, chatrooms, gmail accounts and, if you've got Google Toolbar, your computer itself.
DavoNogo Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 how do you think people like atmorgen find places such as this? as if someone in the states would purposedly look at an Australian Digital Broadcasting site unless that someone was looking for a place to make money
pneu Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 They'd look anywhere if they suspected you of being a terrorist, then our government would hand you over!
