My first day back to work has finally concluded. Immediately, I sought refuge in this room and began spinning records.

Another late night for me last night, as I found myself glued to my chair, the turntables spinning away. Despite being acutely aware of the impending workweek, my subconscious insisted on one more track, and then another, pulling me deeper into the rhythm. I’m a grown man, yet lately I've been grappling with indecisiveness in my behavior and a slip in self-discipline since those M7s entered my life. It’s a frustrating predicament! Perhaps it’s time to cut those ties and regain control, to restore order to my life once more.

Ah yes, - 'moderation in all things' as they say. Not neglecting family needs to be in the forefront of your mind, then again mine wouldn't see me 'till starvation drove me out.

I believe you mentioned losing some weight since The Acquisition, hell of a diet fad.

The problem with M7 is it's so revealing it readily exposes previously unknown weaknesses in the system, so the equilibrium of which you speak remains elusive. Which means, here we go again. The upgrade path is calling.

I was stunned by what the Waversa stuff did in Chanh's system. I have to get one of those magic boxes. $20K for the Waversa Reference Plus is a lot of coin just to suck out electrical noise from the network link to my N1T. That's almost half the cost of the N1T!! But whether it will bring the same improvement in my system is debatable in theory, feedback from my homework suggests it's very system dependent. My M3 might not leverage the benefit as much as M7 does.

I can sense where @AccMagi7s digital evolution is heading. The Accuphase stuff will be replaced with a Wadax, except for the PS-1230. The PS Audio power cables should be retired and replaced with Shunyata Sigmas. And a LAN cable from the modem to the listening room instead of the WiFi link would be worth the effort. Actually, I don't mind spending his money.

Thank you, Brodric! I'm absolutely thrilled about our shared vision—it's incredible to see how aligned we are! You're like a fortune-teller with your insights, especially in my case! Just a small hiccup: I still haven't hit that Powerball jackpot! On top of that, we really need to explore the possibilities with stillpoint isolation and the active isolation platform—I can feel the potential! Arghhh…! They’re definitely progressing at a much more stable pace than the recent wild spending spree! Stay tuned for more exciting updates coming your way!

@brodricj, You should consider contacting @Douglas HiFi for a competitive price on Waversa Reference Plus. Mark is an exceptional individual. I had the pleasure of meeting him on couple occasions at Frank Spowse approximately two years ago. I am optimistic about having a favourable transaction with him in the near future.

The phonostage is anticipated to be here this Friday. I hope it arrives in time for our Sunday gathering.

At this moment, I feel like this guy in the photo, with what I currently have! Though, when I looked closely into the photo for what he is having, what I have certainly became entry-level mid-fi.

Yes, you are right, Mark is great @Douglas HiFi, and so are Tony and Simon, very knowledgeable and fabulous people, definitely recommended!

Should you run out of audio topics to discuss at your next gathering , these maybe of interest:

- Listening chair / high back vs low backs

- Cryogenically treated cables / to align the crystaline structure / improve conductivity

- Electro magnetic shielding like Shunyata and Furotech utilises

- Earthing of audio components , plus finding the chassis sweet spot

Having played around with all over the years , yes differences are easily audible.

Thanks @art of SOUND! Consequently, my preference is to maintain a manageable guest or audience size. I have also an outdoor/indoor sunroom with a long table, which serves as a suitable venue for our discussion on the day, providing a secluded space away from the listening room.

Here is the discussion table! This is what Volker was referring to! 😊

My nephew, who is in his thirties, recently visited to assist with the furniture rearrangement, which was much needed. He had never been in this room before and was unfamiliar with the name we use for ourselves, Audiophile.

I gave him the opportunity to listen to the audio system, and just like me, he became engrossed in listening to more tracks. Unfortunately, we ended up not doing any work, and it was getting too late to begin. Therefore, the furniture remains unchanged and hecesljed away saying “Wow…! It feels like the band is right there, as if you are at a live concert!” 🤔😆

I will be seeking validation for his remark from several seasoned audiophiles this Sunday. 😰 I think he was just trying to please me!

There was one track, "Here’s to Life," that I played. He told me, “I tried to force myself to focus on the speakers, moving my head to hear the sound coming from them, but it didn’t work. She was right there in the middle, singing. It felt like I was trying to go against the flow, but I just couldn’t do it!”.

Several friends have listened to this track here, and I would be interested in hearing their feedback. For example, @Mendes.

I intend to play this track again this Sunday. It promises to be an interesting experience.

Whilst this track was amazing in its reproduction, it was not limited to just this one.

Any music we threw at the system was a revelation (personally, I liked the vinyl front end the most).

The thing that got me was how physically large the speakers are, how many drivers and just how they got out of the way and allowed music to just flow (with no thought as to where the music was actually coming from), and it just appeared in front of us with the artists appearing reachable a few meters in front of us.

We are all chasing the same thing, systems that make us believe the artist is in the room with us and boy oh boy, this really gets it done.

Bravo Chan 👏👏:partytake a bow.

@brodricj - - Some inquiries are awaiting your response.

I'm simply blown away how good this N1T is getting after only 30 hours of playing. I downloaded a free HiRez sampler album on HD Tracks to a USB but after a quick listen I don't find it engaging at all. I've defaulted back to Spotify for my listening session tonight. I know Qobuz sounds better but what I'm hearing tonight - even though it's a lossy stream - is thoroughly enjoyable.

Whilst I should be content I'm thinking additional tweaking might yield further improvement. That scoundrel @AccMagi7s has forced me to buy a Waversa WLAN Reference+, and I'm seriously considering a master clock generator upgrade. The new Esoteric G1XSE clock will be announced soon but the price for one of those is likely to be eye watering.

The Waversa WLAN Reference+ promises to deliver a striking enhancement, unveiling multiple layers of clarity that were previously obscured. You heard it here first—do your research! Those who experience its capabilities are unlikely to part with it, unless they are compelled to ascend further up the audio food chain.

I firmly believe that investing in this approach is far more beneficial than relying on Ethernet cables and external clocks. While external clocks can address issues like jitter and phase noise, they also introduce complications such as electromagnetic interference, impedance mismatches, capacitance, and RFI through the clocking wires. It’s clear that the drawbacks outweigh the benefits in this case.

You could always bring it back this Sunday, Brodric. I haven’t had a proper critical listen to it yet.

That's why I changed my mind about buying a Shunyata Omega ethernet cable. I heard what the Waversa can do. The money is probably better directed towards the Waversa than an expensive network cable.

You will require a very high-quality Ethernet cable downstream from the reference + to the Esoteric. This is a must-have. Upstream is not really important, as you can first-hand witness here.

I'm using custom made cat-8 network cables with Telegartner RJ45 connectors ordered from Canada. The data travels from the router LAN port through a Pakedge MS-2424 managed switch, then SFP to a Pakedge MS-1212 managed switch, then a long network cable to a HP procurve managed switch, and then to the N1T. I need to think about where to deploy the Waversa in all of that.

My new cart arrived yesterday and is still in its packaging. Every day, I initiate the work, but I end up listening to the music. Today, once again, it repeated. There is simply no motivation once the tunes turn on.

Tomorrow, the three boxes Wavac CLR-x2 Phonostage will arrive. I seriously need to get off this chair and begin working on some productive tasks. I am looking for physical assistance with lifting off these bulky and heavy boxes. I would be happy to pay for your time here. Perhaps $50/hr cash? I would need a couple of hours on this furniture rearranging. Please let me know or refer me to someone; I would be very grateful.
