  2. Item: DIY bass traps (acoustic treatment) Location: Loyang Price: $30 each, 10 for $200 Item Condition: looks a bit scruffy and wrinkled, hence the low price Reason for selling: moved to new apartment Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal etc. Extra Info: Size 120cm x 60cm x 10 cm Hand made by me, from instructions on the internet on how to copy ASC bass traps (which are about $200 per piece) Cover is italian linen (acoustically transparent) Interior is Honeywell acoustic wool 10cm thick I used them in my dedicated listening room for 6 years, but I have moved to an apartment and can no longer use them. Installation is simple and it will allow you to finally achieve the 3d imaging, pinpoint, layered soundstage and a natural tonality that you have always dreamed about!. Although they are called bass traps, when bass is well controlled, the mids and highs will be allowed to shine, become better defined, and vocals will hypnotize you. Condition: looks a bit scruffy and wrinkled, some is stained, hence the low price. WAF = 0 VIEW AT MY WAREHOUSE IN LOYANG Mon-Fri 9.30 -5.30 Photos (you must include photographs here):
  3. Dear all, I'm selling my custom-made hi-fi cabinet as I'm moving to a bigger apartment and having a new one made. This cabinet was designed to have 100% Wife Acceptance Factor - when you're not listening, everything will be concealed. When you want to listen, just open the doors and slide them back into the cabinet. To prevent heat build-up, the cabinet has no back - hot air will naturally rise and escape. I built this for my former Audio Research setup. The Reference 110 power amp was sited in the bottom compartment, the LS 27 preamp was in the middle compartment, the DAC in another. Even during extended listening sessions, heat from the power tubes dissipated easily. (The cabinet should be sited slightly away from the wall behind, around two inches gap). The open back allows your cables to be easily dressed and arranged. Running stiff power cables, interconnects and speaker cables is simple and quick. It can accommodate 2 full-size power amps (max 25cm x 55cm x 60cm HWD), and 4 preamp/cd player/dac etc (max 17cm x 55cm x 60cm). The top is black glass, your turntable will look great sitting on it! The cabinet is constructed from 30mm plywood with all genuine zebrano wood veneer finish (not laminate). It is solid and heavy so as to be free of vibration and unwanted resonances. The doors are black laminated plywood, mounted on "pocket hinges", that allow the doors to slide back into the cabinet during listening sessions. The cabinet cost me $1950 - I'm letting go at $950. Thanks for reading - let me know if you need more info or want to view. The actual unit is in the East Coast near Bayshore Cheers, Mick Hp 9 8 1 8 7 2 1 8 Watch the video walkthrough here:https://youtu.be/tt0ROuTlBgw [iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/tt0ROuTlBgw" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen/][/iframe]

  9. Hi all, I'm moving to a small apartment so I'm selling off my beloved Aerial Acoustic 10T's. This is a legendary speaker, former Stereophile Product of the Year (1996), and was in Stereophile Recommended Components list (Class A restricted LF) for many years. I'm the 3rd owner, it's been with me for 12 years. It used to retail for around S$10k The speakers are in poor cosmetic condition, but are working perfectly, and sound fantastic. The second owner tried to make it look new by respraying the "heads" & revarnishing the cabinets but made a mess of it. I always intended to get it restored but never got round to it. If you don't mind about the condition then this is a bargain. It is highly musical and detailed, yet it is a forgiving speaker that will have you fall in love with your system and music collection all over again. Easy to match and drive, it mates well with both solid state and tubes. Price is $1,500 nett- not negotiable. I'm selling it cheap because of the condition, so please study the pictures carefully before contacting me. Please also note that the it was previously biwire-able, but I changed the flimsy original binding posts to Cardas solid copper ones but not biwire-able. One of the bass driver has has had the rubber surround replaced. Tweeters and mid ranges have never been touched. Interested pls contact me at 98187218. Thanks for reading! 13. FS Gabriel Gold Rapture R Speaker Cable 8 foot pair Made in the USA, the Gabriel Gold cables have a huge cult following amongst audiophiles who love music. Their key strength is the ability to sound natural and lifelike, at the same time as being incredibly transparent and detailed. Jet black background adds to the addictive sound. Condition 9/10 Asking $500 only. New price is $1200. Also have the following Gabriel Gold cables to let go now that I have upgraded to the top model Reflections XLR I/Cs & Speaker cables: 1 pair Reflection I/Cs RCA 1meter condition 9/10 $450 1 pair Rapture R I/Cs RCA 1meter condition 9/10 $380 SOLD 1 pair Revelation I/Cs RCA 1meter condition 7/10 $250 1 pair Revelation I/Cs XLR 1meter condition 7/10 $250 SMS me 98187218 for more details or pictures Thanks, Mike http://forum.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/srch_fr.pl?rapture "The Rapture speaker wire offers reference performance. Outstanding resolution, remarkable air and extension, smooth midrange, deep bass, and a jet black background. Stereo set consist of four dedicated runs. Multiple gold plated precious metal conductors are used." "GG Rapture Speaker Wire Testimonial The Rapture speaker cables expand on the Rapture pantheon. .. Zeus! Odin! Power and poetry. Magic and magnificence. The most notable is the ease of control of the full spectrum of sound and the insane detail conveyed . Nuances of all instruments and vocals are spectacularly displayed: the separation of voices in close harmony and proximity, the last second bending of a note as it glides into darkness on a long decay, the resonance of string not directly struck on acoustic guitars are all more that just apparent....they were meant to be there and now they're are , as they always were, but somehow never heard before. You can't know what isn’t there, but then you only miss your water when it's gone. Addictive is what these cables are. Bass is organic and full with out being overemphasized or boomy. Acoustic bass and bowed instruments are melt your heart and sit in your grandfather's lap comfy, raw and caressing. However it was played is how it is heard. The highs are extended and lively, but not aggressive or grating. And the midrange, OH, the midrange. Let's just say I don't miss my tube preamplifier any more.....ahhhhhhhh. After they had broken in, I sat to down to listen. But, I kept jumping out of my chair and danced around all footloose and gangly now almost diagnosable echolalis "no way, no way, you must be jivin' " Repeated in the perfect rhythm and pace from the Raptures. Everything the interconnects offered and somehow more. Pristine, defined full sized and rounded images themselves. The stage is expanded side to side, but much deeper all the nuances already so real in sonic reproduction it's almost surreal. Transportations available. Seats on the excursion might be expensive, but worth the price since the ticket is for endless admissions and journey begins again every time you find a moment to drop into your seat and turn it on. - Budburma"

  15. Hi all, I'm selling my Krell SACD Standard Mk3 SACD/CD Player as I'm upgrading to the Krell Cipher. Local set, condition is 7.5 out of 10, i.e. you can see it's not new, but there are no deep scratches or dents. Age is about 7 years. Fully maintained by Ultralinear. I had it upgraded from the original Mk2 to Mk 3 status in 2008. It sounds fantastic. Musical and engaging, with taut, tuneful bass, lush mids and extended highs. All the texture and inner detailing you could wish for, wide and deep soundstage. It uses the exact same drive mechanism as the US$10k Krell Evo 505 player. No skips, no noise, no any other kind of problems, this player is completely free from any faults. It will even play SACD-R discs (SACDs burned from ripped SACD-ISO files) New was $7,200, I was asking $3,000 but now I've reduced it to $2,500. (UK Price was £6800!!! :o http://www.hifiwigwam.com/showthread.php?94035-F-S-Krell-SACD-Standard-MKIII-xdemo) Interested please SMS or call 9-8-1-8-7-2-1-8. View at Simei Thanks!

All the texture and inner detailing you could wish for, wide and deep soundstage. It uses the exact same drive mechanism as the US$10k Krell Evo 505 player. No skips, no noise, no any other kind of problems, this player is completely free from any faults. It will even play SACD-R discs (SACDs burned from ripped SACD-ISO files) New was $7,200, I'm asking only $3,000 (UK Price was £6800!!! :o http://www.hifiwigwam.com/showthread.php?94035-F-S-Krell-SACD-Standard-MKIII-xdemo) Interested please SMS or call 9-8-1-8-7-2-1-8.
