  5. Further Information: Original classic HD650 brought AU locally. Selling due to little use these days, comes with original cable and Hart HC-5 Cable (to mini XLR interconnect) and Hart interconnect to 6.35mm and XLR ends (worth $200AU landed alone). 6. ooo wow.. A true First Watt AU guy here! Thinking of what I can sell to buy this atm haha...
  7. Further Information: Doesn’t need an intro here, fantastic little powerful unit. Over a year old but fully working as new (little use too). Thanks.
  8. Further Information: Selling for less than half of new RRP. Free Express Postage AU wide. Just pulled from a PS Audio Direct Stream DAC I got second hand, never going to use it as already have a PC setup and DDC to I2s for it to use. Tested to make sure its all working fine for a couple of weeks (Streaming from PC and mcontrol iOS app etc). Surprisingly very clear and more detailed sound vs Direct USB, even clearer than my DDC to I2s setup also, but too hard to now switch to streaming and costly to run new great ethernet leads etc to my sound room so selling it to someone who would use it. It should be plug and play if running the latest firmware on PS Audio DAC (Sunlight), screenshot below of my DAC configuration before removing it. Also comes with the DAC and Original Bridge Firmware SD's and a 16GB SD Card to store the albums images/thumbnails when streaming. More info: https://www.heynowhifi.com.au/products/psaudionb Any questions please ask. Thanks
  9. Thanks all, it’s now Sold pending payment with shipping costs (with a couple in the queue for it). Regards Daniel
  10. Further Information: Selling my first ultimate tube rolling HP amp after owning for years, sadly it doesn’t get used much anymore as ive mostly moved to tube amps that can run speakers + headphones (all dual tubes plus) and sold all my top HP I used (ZMF VC, Focal Utopia where my top fav with this amp), HD650 is also another great cheaper one to use. Selling as a full pack, with many many hours of fun for the next buyer. Some real nos gems in here that I collected over the years and worth more in tubes alone. Amp is AU voltage and stock (not modded). I had plans to keep to mod but never did. DarkVoice is in great condition and tube sockets still perfect also, it comes with original DarkVoice box for the amp and another large box for the tubes, so downside is shipping will easy be $30+ Any questions please ask. Thanks Tubes are the following: * I would recommend researching before using a couple below, as a couple might have snuck in from other pre’s as I cannot remember if I’ve used them all in it or not (will mark the ones below I cannot remember if I have used in it, the rest I have). All tubes brought as NEW or NOS or very close to NOS and all have little use, as I spent a lot of time rolling and collecting mostly before switching to speaker tube amps haha. 6CG7 Series tubes (with adaptor) – photos in bags: RCA 6CG7 Toshiba 6CG7 Raythoen 6CG7 NEC 6CG7 WG (Russian?) 6CG7 Sylvania 6GU7 Unlabelled 6CG7 – Russian I believe GE 12AU7 – Not sure if used in this amp (comes with separate adaptor below) Other Pre stage tubes: Shuguang Treasure CV181Z Zenith 6SN7 AU Radiotron 6SN7 X2 CBS JAN-CHY-5692 – Costly as rare these days! GE 6SN7 6h9c Russian tube – not sure if used in this amp RCA Red Base 5692– Costly as rare these days! (sadly, middle guiding pin has snapped after second use, you would need to research for putting it in the correct way to use it). Gold Lion 6922 (with 6922 to 6SN7 adaptor) – not sure if I’ve used this in this amp Jan 5654W (with 6N3/WE396A to 6SN7 adaptor) 12AU to 6SN7 Adaptor – not sure if I’ve used this in this amp 2X Socket savers (and can use on the broken RCA 5692 guiding pin tube). 11. Further Information: Doesn’t need an intro here, fantastic little powerful unit. Over a year old but fully working as new (little use too). Postage about $15-20 AU wide for Sendle locations. Thanks.
  12. Further Information: Fantastic sounding speakers and I liked them better than the ns-1000s due to the x range carbon fibre woofers and many others that a/b them too. Mid range drivers were crushed during transit sadly, but coils have now been re-aligned (as they were crackling) and are working fine now. You can still see a bit of bumps on the outside of the mid-range drives visually still, repairer didn’t want to attempt further repairs to make them looks more better visually due to the risk of coil damage/other damages etc. Also small damage to one woofer that has been repaired (can still see the fix job). A few small scratches/marks here and there due to vintage age and front no grills sorry. Matching serials photos below. Pickup from Postman’s Ridge or Toowoomba QLD. Brisbane drop off also available as an option too. No postage due to weight and no risking more damage to them sorry. More info/specs: https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/yamaha/ns-700x.shtml Thanks.

  14. I see, so left is still rectifier? I'm guessing lower output overall by looks of the rectifier, hence can use it as a pre-amp and HP amp? mmm nice.. you and your nos GEC tubes, a tube man's dream these days haha
  15. @Odyssey wow mate what's going on here.. Ultimate with 6 tubes??!! Rectifier tube still on the left? and/or if so what's in the middle with the usual pre-stage tubes?

  18. Unique speakers being ribbon hybrid. They really stand out best with acoustic, classical, instrumental or strings etc. I didn't find them hard to drive but ran best with a good 50w+ 8ohm SS amp. Woofers have been fully rebuilt/cleaned by Vitor (Brisbane Speaker Repairs), so ready to last new owner for many more years of enjoyment. No front grills sorry. Minor marks/scuffs due to age. Couple of small rip spots on back ribbon protection fabric (front fabric is perfect), ribbons and woofers are in perfect condition. Happy to demo for serious buyers. Brisbane drop off also available as an option too. Thanks. Full Specs: The Centaur was the medium sized model of the Centaurus ribbon hybrid range, Apogee's first range of ribbon hybrids using an 8" dynamic woofer and a 26" ribbon tweeter. They enabled users to experience the clarity and spaciousness of a ribbon tweeter, and with the ordinary dynamic woofer instead of the current hungry planar bass panel they were considerably easier to drive. Specifications Height 117 cm Width 38 cm Depth 28 cm Bass driver 8" Dynamic cone Midrange 26" Aluminium/Kapton ribbon (etched 6 segment) Max Sound Level 107dB peak @ 4 meters using a 50 W amplifier Sensitivity @ 3m 84dB Frequency response 38Hz (-3dB @ 45Hz) to 20kHz Suggested amp power 100W (8 ohm load) Impedance nominal/minimum 5/3 ohms Weight 65kg pair Finishes available Silver grey, rosewood, walnut, blonde oak and mahogany Price at time of first sale (1990) USD $1995

  20. Further Information: Don’t think this needs an intro here, it has been one of my longest held piece of audio gear and for good reason.. It comes with the new DSP Board (so same as Venus 2). It was updated a few weeks ago to latest 12th Anniversary Firmware, which I liked a lot too! It will come with a flash drive loaded with both Firmware’s (the original DSP Venus 2 and latest 12th Anniversary Firmware) so new owner can easily reload it if wanted (along with detailed instructions/guides). It also comes with the original DSP board (so the original Venus 1 sound). So next owner can enjoy all 3 different Venus sound options A couple of small marks on top that I could see close up (can see them in pics below). Comes with original hard box and padding etc so can post this safely. It does weight a bit so postage likely $35-45 (PM for quote). Thanks.
