Nice configuration.. There is a 2nd hand Aurum cantus V3M going for $1k but I haven't heard them before. On the other hand, I am aware of how Proarc and Scanspeak drivers based speakers sound. Hence, have shortlisted the elite asethets and the other scanspeak based speaker. Did you make the purchases from Ali express?

I am using Onkyo A-9010 to drive a pair of Dynaudio Excite x12. Are these speakers not performing to their potential?

There is no doubt that the mentioned speakers are using genuine parts but the question is whether they can replicate the "magic" as found in scan speak based speakers such as Pro Arc.

This model looks like a clone of one of Fritzspeaker's floor stander using the same scan speak drivers. Fritz are retailing those for at least 4-5k USD. For sure they are using genuine scanspeak parts but nothing is known about the built quality and type of internal transistor parts are being used. http://www.fritzspeakers.com/custom_finishes.asp The elite asethets are a much safer bet. Besides Pete_mac, there are other superb reviews (translated from Chinese) and those are quite well known speakers in the Chinese market. Currently, I own a pair of Dynaudios excite x12 and am looking for a reasonable upgrade without breaking the bank.
