Nice build.... this must of taken you many many hours. What options for connectivity to dac does it have? Also, what is upgradeable on it? (Apart from extra so-dimm slot and hdd.) Is there a m2 slot? Also, for us dummies, what else can we run on the o/s without impacting roon? Ie. Whats the impact on cpu/ram when running roon? Thankyou for posting

Hi Andy, the v771 is a 2011 release vs the v685 released in 2018 ... so there is a big gap in features there I am after. eg. bluetooth/wireless, spotify, musiccast etc .. but it would make a great spare room amp. advertise it on Stereonet... it will sell like hot cakes. thanks Maurice

still looking. one of the features I like about the v685 is the dual HDMI outs to allow me to cable in a projector and TV. Anyone know of another Receiver that has this feature at this price point?

How do I get stereo (so I can use multi-stereo and night time mode on my Sony 5400es) from HDTV? At the moment I have a Sony Bravia kdl-40w4500 hooked up to a sony 5400es. When I tune into HDTV channel 9 for example, the receiver picks up the surround formatted audio. This means I get mainly audio through the front centre speaker. But at night, I need to keep it down for the bub. Any ideas? (can't use headphones since the missus needs to hear too) thanks
