  1. After I did the firmware update I'm not sure if it's me or not. I used to be able to get another station to appear in a preview window but now that option is gone? maybe I'm navigating it the wrong way cause I only did it once within hours of using the TV before upgrading the firmware. Anyone know how to re-enable that feature? and how do I get my x360 plugged in via HDMI to actually fireup at 100hz once I turn the x360 on?!! it always starts at 60hz
  2. wow! I didn't know the older consoles had VGA support! Firstly, depending on your model (see here) http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/compare101.htm?WT.svl=nav You'll need a HDMI cable, but as said before 1080p isn't a problem for x360. I just bought the 52" samsung with the 100hz refresh which certainly makes the experience alot better!! (I compared series 5 vs 6 in the store) Get your measurements of where you'll be putting it then check what's on the showroom floor to get an idea on what feels good. TV's really are a personal thing, its what tickles your fancy in the end.
  3. Guys, I installed the updated F/W on the LA52A650 from 1005-->1007. Wish I could see a list of bugfixes to see what it actually addresses but I did notice that when changing the source and navigating which source to choose has sped up substantially as before it would pause for a moment between each selection, that's about all I saw seeing as the TV was only turned on for an hour before I flashed it lol. One thing I can't determine what is the problem/cause for is I noticed 2 'flash light' points on the edge (i think that's what it's called). I don't really know how to get rid of it without turning the darkness up! Anyone know what causes that?
  4. Doesn't appear so.. their promo page is still showing 31st July https://samsung.campaign.net.au/FoxtelOrBluray/
  5. either way dude, you didn't get what you paid for or specified. They'll be the ones going through the drama of - giving you your refund or - they can replace it with an equal or better model. I'd go with replacing just so then it'll justify their manager introducing a process to confirm equipment is as specified before leaving the store. (i used to be a store manager)
  6. that's a good question. They don't exactly have a change log on the samsung site saying what it addresses but it has to be good if it's from samsung lol
  7. FYI - 52"A650 purchasers. a new firmware just dropped for this model 2days ago http://org.downloadcenter.samsung.com/down...90_T-AMBDAU.exe
  8. Nice work guys, unfortunately I couldn't keep it in my pants seeing 52" LCD's all day gave me wood and pressured me into buying one. My mini-review is.... JB HiFi Carindale - their store manager was choking when I pushed him below $3700, right to the point he was critising all my documentation/methods to which I politely replied.. "Ohh, well that attitude explains why they've managed to get a firm foothold on the market, suxors to be you and your business".. this comment caused some chuckling by his staff so I must've done something right! Myer Carindale - I think after telling them my terrible experience moments before they were quite good with negociating and managed to give me a final price of $3500 w/o extended warranty and all that stuff. Yes yes I know it's more then what you guys are paying but after I get it shipped up here I wouldn't be far off paying this price anyway... So now I collect my screen on Thursday and my x360 elite is itching to burn that LCD's 1080p capabilities in. Ohh... and my woody will probably subside by midnight thursday. Till then, let the good times roll and enjoy your purchases guys! (and they say size doesn't matter)
  9. now that's a nice price!! sign me up too! I have to organise shipping to brisbane lol
  10. We're all keen to hear where that price comes from, cause I'm there! BigScreen - you got PM
  11. I agree, JB Hifi are putting it on sale for $3893 (http://www.jbhifi.com.au/tv-plasma-lcd/hd-tv-1080/) Someone in the following thread got it down to $3500 http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showtop...t&p=1115479
  12. I'm assuming with the specific model being listed in the topic the 52" capacity is preferred. BigScreen?
  13. I like the cut of your jib cowabungadude. Where can I get a quote like that?
  14. ohh BTW - BigScreen... I want in, I will PM once I get my postcount up.
