I have the 46X, digital foxtel and a Pioneer DVD player recorder (no HDMI) Had an installer connect up the cables but have found that I can't record free to air tv, only Foxtel. I sem to have a mixture of composite and component cables being used. The cable that comes out of Foxtel is a single scart but with both a component and a composite cable - recommended by the GB seller. Could someone tell me how they have connected their 46x to Foxtel and a DVD player/recorder. Also the Foxtel picture is not good. Would an s-video connection make a difference? The HD programmes are terrific - just not enough of them!

I know that the XBR and X are capable of 120 hertz - but is that feature of any use in Australia?

Does anyone know if the new Bravias are made in Japan, China or anywhere else?

Sony Central in Adelaide are advertising the 40" X for $3,695 in The Advertiser newspaper. Is the GB price better than this?
