I brought an Onkyo 567 + Mission speakers at the end of July. I have been having some problems with the Onkyo. My current set up is Samsung 63C7000 to the Onkyo Via HDMI 1.4 Cables (from EzyHD) from the Onkyo I have My Blu-ray Player, Xbox360 and Foxtel all connected with HDMI cables. It has been working fine for the last couple of months but now something strange has starting to happen. Last 3 weeks i turn on the AV and the TV doesn’t show any Picture (TV says no signal) but I still get sound through the AV. Once this has happens I try and plug in Foxtel direct into the TV and this doesn’t work either. I have to turn off the TV from the Power and unplug the HDMI cables from the TV wait a while, Turn the TV back on and then plug the Foxtel directly into the TV and this works. First I thought it was the TV. So I update the firmware on the TV and reset everything to defaults. This still didn’t fix the issue. I also reset the AV back to defaults as well which also didn’t work Next I have been running the Foxtel without going through the AV and has been fine for a week now. Last weekend I plugged all cables back into the AV and it started happening again I would get Video and sound for the first couple of hours then turn off the TV and get no picture on TV but Sounds on the AV. The conclusion I think is the AV is shorting out the HDMI connections on the TV or would it be something else?

Hey PN, that looks right. I took it off a different way i kept the packing foam and used that to keep the tv up right so i didn't need to hold it

Pippos the buzz should be directional. Mine comes over the top of the TV. Maybe try and rasie the TV or low it. You might want to move it away from the wall a bit more to try and limit the buzz. I have mine mounted and the top of the tv is above me standing so i can't hear it at all.

Oz can you test it to see if it does? as i prob be buying the same amp

2 x HDMI Monster MC700HD-1 meter 2x199= $398 ?????????????????????????? really!!!!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?! don't spend so much on HDMI cables !!! i just got 2 new 1.4 HDMI 2 meters top quality for $58 including delevery Monster HDMI cables are rip off. i would say the same for the 4 outlect surge board Maybe you should be doing some searching on Monster HDMI cables and see what everyone says.

I got the 63" Damn happy about it. PQ the best (coming from SD 42") I do get the buzz but it is directional and only can hear it when my head is above the top of the tv and standing dead center of the tv, seeing as mine is wall mounted and the top of the tv is above my head i have no problems.

yeah i do need 1.4 which is a pain. So which speakers are better Mission or Jamo as i have heard very good reviews on Jamo Can any one give me some good places in NSW to go to get Amps and speakers. I think HN is the only one that does Jamo now (don't like HN)

i think i can get away with 3000 with the other half if i start going over that she might kill me

Still doing research people are getting the 578 Onkyo for $699 and Jamo S606HCS6 RRP 2500 (i think)

Thanks for the reply guys, i'm really only looking for 5.1 at the moment with 7.1 later if i deside. i was thinking something like $800 for the amp and $2200 for the speakers + sub i'll have a good look at the yamaha unit as well. thanks Skin

I have just brought a band new Samsung 63" 3d tv. I want to start looking for a amp and some speakers. I have heard good stuff about the jamo's S606 which i have heard and liked. because my tv runs on hdmi 1.4 i would like an amp that does the same. I'm looking at the Onkyo but don't know what one to get as when i spoke to a HN guy he said i needed the $1400 amp to run Jamo speakers :S all up i'm looking at about $3000 which includes amp + speakers + ipod dock (maybe an amp with radio as well) This is the equipment i have TV 63" 3d blu-ray player Wii PS2 Xbox360 Ipone and Ipod

Flicker is because glasses nothing to do with the TV there for it will never get fixed You can adjust the depth be going into the menu under 3d

Andys already said try another cable. go out and buy a HDMI 1.3 high speed or 1.4 cable don't go spending 100's on one you should be able to pick one up a good one for about $30

I got mine from the side of the box but the web page doesn't accept it Web page says Your 14-15 character serial number can be found at the side of your TV. (e.g. AAA99AAA999999) i have AAAA99AAA999999 can someone please check if this is right? should i remove the first letter?

if you go back to pages 80-90 i talk about bais lighting and have some nice links with people doing fake walls. If you are not going to wall hang your tv i guess you can go that way.

LOL I know i was not going to put it in gyprock anyway but just reading it and feeling the weight of the tv it would be crazy to put it up with out a stud or brick wall. Jonesboy i have a nas DNS-323 at home i havn't tried it yet (i use twonky on it) i will run a cable tonight and have a look.

I played with the 2d to 3d for about 10 mins in the news but couldn't see much. as i said i didn't have much time. Took all day getting cables run and getting the stud in place so i can sleep easy at night. BTW i got the 1000c slim mount and i would never trust putting it in the gyprock with out a stud.

Still got some work to do putting cables down the wall but it was late and i wanted it up so i could watch it that night. I watched the footy last night in 3d looked so good when i was about 3 meters away but when sitting down about 4-5 meters away you don't get the same affect. TV is so good!!!! PQ is 1000 times then my old TV. The Buzz sound everyone is talking about i can hear from about a meter but that is all it isn't that loud. I havn't had time to update the firmware or even play a dvd. I don't even had a blu-ray player So busy at work and training it is hard to sit down for 10 mins.

How do you know they tried fixing it with firmware? did they tell you or did you watch them?? I feel that the sales team wouldn't really update the firmware. They would just try and sell the LED
