Hey guys, apologies if this is a bit out of place and a bit far from where this thread is at the moment, but... Where the hell can I buy and HD-DVD movies so they'll get to me before christmas? I ordered 3 from Amazon but they may not come until the 2nd of Jan! Didnt realise until after I ordered it. Ive got some house guests coming to stay on boxing day and really wanted to show this thing off but at the moment dont have any movies to play on it! Any help would be appreciated.

Where's this option? Sorry, just found it. I cant select it because its "greyed" out and cannot be changed.

Yeah, the video card isnt detecting screen res though. Is there anything I can do to output at 1360 X 768?

Having some trouble getting a decent PC signal into a 40" Bravia. I've got a Toshiba M30 Notebook with a NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 32MB. Available resolutions out of my notebook are: 800X600 1024X768 1280X800 (What I'm currently running on my laptop) 1280X1024 1600X1200 1920X1440 2048X1536 It seems the only one that works properly and looks decent is 1024X768.. But this basically leaves big black areas on either side of the frame. A lot of wasted space. Not to mention it is pretty low res. I cant seem to get a widescreen res running. It cuts off the picture and a message box on the Bravia tells me "unsupported signal, please adjust the output from your pc" Is there a setting I should be changing on my display settings from either my PC or the Bravia? Ive spent hours trying different things and still cant get a decent resolution from my laptop into the Bravia and its pretty frustrating. Any help would be appreciated.

Easy dude. I just thought it would make things easier by posting a visual reference. I wasnt trying to be "rude".. I dont expect anything but was just hoping someone could shed some light as I'm not too clued on about this sort of stuff. I know the inputs and outputs of both devices but am not sure to what the best type of connection would be. Hence the reason for this thread.

Sorry if this is a repost, I did a search and didnt really get anywhere. Just got a 40" Bravia and not sure of whats the best way to hook these 2 up? Do I need a scart converter? What should it convert to etc? I cant be arsed listing all the inputs of each device so I've just posted the following images. Any help would be really appreciated. Why when Im recording for example, Channel9 through the EPG, while that is recording the only other channel it lests me view is the ABC? And if Im recording 2 channels at the same time, why cant I watch either of those channels? Instead Im locked into 1 or can only watch the abc? This is also the case with PIP.. The only channel I can watch is ABC in the window. Someone had pointed out that I needed to copy info from tuner 1 to tuner 2. I had a look in the installation menu, and I dont have the "services copy" option. Ive had a read of the manual and it says it should be in there but it isnt. All I have in the installation menu is as follows. SERVICE SEARCH FACTORY SETTING FORMAT HARD DISK TRANSFER FIRMWARE Supposedly "services copy" should be listed in that menu (as stated by my manual) but it isnt there. Any thoughts? This is really frustrating!

When I fast forward through a recorded program, why do I not notice any difference between 2X and 6X. It actually seems that 6X goes slower than 2X. Its not fast at all. Is there a problem or maybe Im not doing it right. Ive tried to work out the problem but have since given up.

Sorry if this has been asked before, did a search and couldnt find anything on the subject.
