Dear Austar Claus My wish list - An Austar iPhone App to record programs remotely.. Like foxtel - A Kids remote like foxtels "MiniMote" for my kids - "Record Me" like foxtel again lol, selected ads just click a button to book a recording for the show.. - In general be more like foxtel :-) Thankyou Austar Claus

+1 Agree Your not wrong! I wish they would put more focus on the tv ad saying you NEED THE LATEST TV SETS THAT SUPPORT 3D TV... Most people that will see the ad will think "oh yeah grab a pair of red and blue glasses and away ya go!" GRRRR i wish i had a 3d tv

Thanks for everyones comments! :-) Ive talked to a few local installers and wholesalers and found that the Clipsal 2ANUV14 I had an Austar tech here the other day doing some work and I asked if he could test my antenna. He said it was fine but recommend going higher or changing the antenna. MUR results were a bit above 30 for each station. . What does everyone think of the Clipsal antennas?

Hey The Antenna was purchased at bunnings "Austig". The computer there recommended it for my area but what i'm starting to discover that was totally wrong. I dont think it has a reflector element on it? I moved the antenna this afternoon matching it more similar to neighbouring antennas and raising it higher. However seem to have made the problem much worse. Whats the ultimate antenna for Bundaberg when pointing ant MT Goonanamen? Regards Matt

Hey everyone I did a fresh new antenna install for our household to receive digital reception. Now I am a complete amateur but consider myself some what competent to do the job. I installed a new antenna with a masterhead booster and replaced all the cables with RG6 Quad shield cable and tested for shorts. Each connection is an F-Connecter type plug for a cleaner install. I used the Jay Car Signal strength meter to try get the best position for my antenna. Everything went well however Channel WIN/WIN HD and GO have poor reception with "Pops,Squeaks and pixel loss" while watching these channels. I am not sure what do to do to fix this problem. I have uploaded a photo of the antenna and the line of sight from a few meters under the antenna. Any suggestions tips or hints would be great. Thankyou Matt Cooper Masterhead = Digimatch

Just got off the phone. The austar man said Austar picture is crap. And the new box isn't due out to about August. However the new box will only improve the picture a little....

arr is it! damn so my tv will downscale it to its native res x768..... So its going to be interlaced then BUGGER!

Hey guys, I just bought a HDTV. And i need a HD box.... Now im wondering whats the best HD box to get. Besides the ones that have built in Harddrives. Which i don't want. I want a HD box that is going to give me the best result in picture quality. A box that is stable etc etc I heard the LG $500 one is good.

my decoder can only output s-video...... Hmmmm so does anyone have this same problem???? surely i am not the only one??

Hey guys, I Just bought myself an HD LCD TV (LA26R51B) in other words Samsung 26". Now the two main reasons for my new TV is 1. For my Xbox 360 and 2. for Austar. Now I just hocked it up via the s-video port on my decoder box (Only good port on the box, No component) and have noticed the picture is (Pardon my French sh*t) Sorry mods... But It’s really bad! Whenever text comes up on the screen there is a blur all around the text. Whenever a picture moves FAST eg. Explosion in a show or fast moving cars etc etc. The picture will sort of pixelate. Is this my new TV? Please help me... I’m so confused.

This Box is TRUELY excellent. I purchased one today after having a KROSS and a Teac model that both where a peace of CR%^##@AP This box has fibre optic, your s-vhs and RCA outputs. Its great. This box is way better then the KROSS. So if you are after a cheap one go with this PYROD. I must comment of the user manual very nice and clean. The menus look great LOL even with a LIL msn logo in there to HEHEHE (Parent Lock). I Highly recommend this box.
