Hi Fellow Taswegian, I tried to call ME or Peter Stein today but the only person i could come up with was Winovate pty ltd, my preamp ME24 comes with the powerpak

That's what i thought when i look at the one on evilbay the pre is the same, yeah my speaker terminals are black & red for left , blue & white for right channel, maybe even an 850 Hi Cap will do the job, I was looking for a Yamaha MX1000u, I found one but there either in China or the States, I used has the MX600 but it was under powered for my likes.

Thanks for the info GAT474, I've been looking around on the net today and it looks like the mk 1 & 2 look both the same front on and the rear heat sinks are in the middle on the Mark 1 and the mk2 has them on the sides, is this correct? my SN#550557F & #550642F the pre amp is #240047 so maybe just keep the pre and look for something else I was running them bi wired into the Klipsch Klf 20s one for the base and one for the horns, do you still use your 550 Mk2 or have you moved on?
