This brand needs no introduction, since it's inception and storming into the Hi-Fi world and loved by countless Audiophiles.
Both units; LAiV Harmony DAC and Laiv uDDC purchased NEW directly from the authorised reseller here in Australia. I do have all the receipts and original packing boxes and the aluminium remote for the DAC.
The primary reason for selling is that I unfortunately have the upgrade bug again and will be moving more upmarket.
The Laiv Harmony DAC is 15 months old and the Laiv uDDC is exactly 2 weeks old and likely hasn't even burnt in yet as the uDDC only has about 10 hours on the clock....likely less.
Anyway, my loss is your gain. Hope you enjoy the products as both are built like tanks and performed as hyped as all the hundreds of positive reviews

### Typical Price Range and Condition Variations
- New: $2,800–$4,200 AUD. Australian retailer Groove Audio lists the Harmony DAC at $4,199 AUD, while the manufacturer's site shows $2,849 USD (approximately $4,200–$4,400 AUD at current exchange rates, though bundle discounts may apply). Australian pricing appears higher due to import duties and local margins.
- Used/Excellent: $2,000–$3,000 AUD (estimated conservatively). A comparable Harmony µDDC/uDDC sold for $750 AUD (55% below its $1,372 AUD RRP), suggesting used DACs depreciate 40–60% depending on age and condition; no direct used DAC listings found, but this ratio applies to the ecosystem.
| Condition | Price Range (AUD) | Example Sources |
|-----------|-------------------|-----------------|
| New | $2,800–$4,200 | Groove Audio ($4,199), LAiV site ($2,849 USD ≈$4,200+ AUD) |
| Used | $2,000–$3,000 | µDDC proxy at $750 (vs. $1,372 RRP) |
### Key Factors Affecting Value
- Bundling with µDDC/uDDC: Often sold or used as a combo (e.g., µDDC at $1,379 AUD new in Australia); pairing enhances perceived value and justifies premiums.
- Condition and Age: Excellent used units (<1 year old) retain 60–70% value; includes original packaging/power supply.
- Location/Currency: Australian prices 20–30% above USD/SGD equivalents (e.g., µDDC $894 USD, $1,149 SGD ≈$1,000–$1,300 AUD).
- Market Updates: Recent pricing adjustments effective Jan 2026 may stabilize or increase new prices; demand for femto-clock tech drives secondary market resilience.
- Limited Listings: Few user-reported sales; values inferred from proxies and trends in high-end audio gear.
Prices fluctuate with exchange rates, stock availability, and global tariffs; check current Australian retailers for real-time quotes.
