  1. Yes this is a great phonostage that does well with tube rolling, @scuzzii and myself have both rolled out the default JJ tubes for other options. I went new (Genelex Gold Lion and EH7025's) and he went for NOS mullards and NEC. It doesn't have many settings to dial in for MC cartridges (no DIP only MC high and low, and 3 gain settings) however does a great job, maybe not as sharp as the RCM Solid state lineup.
  2. Item: TV Rack Price Range: free Item Condition: used in good condition for age Extra Info: Pickup only. It is located in Hawthorn This rack I have had for many years but is still in good conditions with 1 mark on top and a few on one side. It is symmetric so can be used with best side facing forward. It looks like Danish style furniture and the sticker underneath says freedom imports, made in Malaysia. I have replaced it with 2 Grizzly racks, one for the tv and one for the HIFI. dimensions are 165cm long x 38cm high x 65 cm deep If anyone is interested I ca
  3. happy to let this go for free to stop it taking up space. How about a small donation to Stereonet but free
  4. This has been one of the best surprises in the tone poet range. great sound and interesting quintet arrangement , moving from trumpet to guitar to piano
  5. Maybe all Fastways energy and effort goes to fulfilling their Amazon contract, and offer customers may suffer cause of that?

Some Hifi equipment can be pushed in from the front or alternatively pushed from the side,
  7. Hi I have an eQ-500 interested in your opinion on changing the stock tubes. I see you grabbed some mullards, how much did those set you back and where did you find them. Was that for ecc82 or ecc83? sonic differences? I assume you have been using stock till now?
  8. Yep, I have had great service from them but occasionally pricing is way out. One of the recent tone poet records is 113% more in price than elsewhere (all local). Whilst I don't expect pricing matching or someone to always be the cheapest, that isnt close. They do get some great versions of records in stock, and provide friendly service. I also have some RSD on my wishlist with them.
  9. Will grab this if available as well as your Herbie Hancock Thrust
  10. Yes eyebolts or similar loops types are great for this task, I use similar to lift the heavy platter from a Yamaha GT-2000. also it’s great for centring and lowering accurately into place when replacing the platter without dropping it the last few mm.
  11. Oh this looks very nice. I have Luxman EQ-500 (3 inputs) which I may consider selling as i am thinking to off load my second turntable (Yamaha GT-2000) Are the settings in the form of DIP switches on the board inside the Sutherland?
  12. 2nd hand esoteric e-03 went for $3.1k last year
