Wilson Audio’s Alexx Lands in Australia

Wilson Audio for many, is considered the benchmark for the ultimate in loudspeakers. A statement; serious output yet controlled, fluid and refined. Alexx is the company's latest creation, and it's not small.

The fourth all-new loudspeaker from Wilson Audio in as many years, many assume Alexx replaces the venerable MAXX, in that it is Wilson’s latest entry into the large speaker segment just below the Alexandria, but, in reality, the comparison with the MAXX begins and ends there.

According to Wilson Audio, Alexx is an altogether more complex and sophisticated loudspeaker, incorporating their latest developments in loudspeaker design in the areas of time-domain geometry, driver configuration, and driver development.

It is the latest beneficiary of Wilson’s ongoing analysis of low-resonance cabinet strategies via laser micrometer. Alexx draws upon designs including their more recent speakers such as the Alexia and the Sabrina, as well as the WAMM, Dave Wilson’s up and coming Magnum Opus, with which it was developed concurrently.

Distributed in Australia by Advance Audio, their Sydney specialist dealer Audio Connection has taken delivery of the only pair of WIlson Audio Alexx in the country, and they're now available for audition running with a DCS digital front-end, VTL S-400 stereo amplifier, Gryphon pre-amplifier and Nordost Valhalla2 cabling.

Finished in a striking Bugatti Blue, they can be yours for a cool $179,995.00
