Vivid Audio is usually associated with more organically flamboyant loudspeakers. Featuring a slightly less other-worldly exterior design,  the new range is their first 3-way speaker that will now slot in below the GIYA range. That said, it will still no doubt impress.

The bass drivers have their own exponential tube absorbers, first found on the Nautilus loudspeaker in the form of a snail’s shell as well as appearing on GIYA.

The reason KAYA is able to use a traditional cabinet shape is that the tapered tube system is now able to be folded up and hidden inside the cabinet. The mid-range and tweeter have their own re-entrant horn absorbers.

The positioning of the tweeter and mid drivers arm the KAYA with a more directional sound.

Jake Purches of Vivid Audio told StereoNET:

The one difference over the Giyas is of course the cost is lower, and that the baffle encourages a more forward sound rather than a more omni directional sound as before. This will favour most room acoustics better.

Pricing and availability have not yet been confirmed.

Vivid Audio will debut the new KAYA 90, 45 and 25 speakers in Munich at the High End show next week in H 1, D06/D06a (Coherent Acoustics).
