Sonus faber gives Sonetto G2 a White Christmas

With the festive season now in full swing, Sonus faber has slipped a quietly elegant addition under the tree, unveiling a White Limited Edition finish for its Sonetto G2 loudspeaker range. The update introduces a soft matte white aesthetic across the entire lineup, offering a fresh visual option while leaving the speakers’ sonic character entirely unchanged.
Rather than positioning the White Limited Edition as a technical update or reworked model, Sonus faber has framed it as a design-led extension of the existing Sonetto G2 family. Production is limited, but the speakers retain the same acoustic architecture, voicing, and specifications as the standard range.

The Sonetto G2 series occupies a pivotal space within Sonus faber’s portfolio, drawing on technologies developed for the brand’s flagship Suprema reference system while remaining scaled for real-world listening environments. That trickle-down approach remains intact here, with cabinet construction, resonance control, and crossover design unchanged from the current G2 models.
Under the new finish, the White Limited Edition mirrors the standard Sonetto G2 range precisely. Sonus faber’s Damped Apex Dome silk tweeter handles high frequencies, joined by the distinctive Camelia midrange driver, whose floral profile is designed to reduce resonances and preserve tonal naturalness. Matching woofers complete the system, maintaining consistent voicing across both stereo and multichannel configurations.

Sonus faber has been explicit that the White Limited Edition does not introduce a new tuning. Audiophiles familiar with the Sonetto G2 voice (including the G2 III which was recipient of a StereoNET Applause Award last year from Simon Lucas's review) can expect the same balanced, refined performance that favours long, engaging listening sessions over short-lived impact. From a system-building perspective, amplifier matching and room integration remain unchanged, allowing buyers to choose between finishes without compromising on quality.
Visually, the matte white finish softens Sonus faber’s signature lute-shaped cabinets, lending the speakers a more architectural presence suited to bright, minimalist interiors. It’s a deliberate contrast to the richer wood finishes and piano black options traditionally associated with the brand, and one that feels aimed at contemporary living spaces rather than seasonal novelty.

Despite the limited-edition designation, Sonus faber has not repositioned the range as a premium upsell. We understand the White Limited Edition is priced in line with the standard Sonetto G2 models, making the choice one of aesthetics rather than performance or cost.

Spanning the full Sonetto G2 lineup, pricing reflects current UK listings for the Sonetto G2 range; availability and final pricing for the White Limited Edition will vary by region through authorised Sonus faber dealers.
