McIntosh DS200 Streaming DAC Boasts High-End Audio Quality

McIntosh's new DS200 Streaming DAC is designed for audiophiles seeking exceptional audio quality and seamless streaming via advanced technology with McIntosh's classic craftsmanship, so says the USA brand.

With support for Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, and Google Cast, the DS200 promises effortless streaming. Its dual Wi-Fi antennas, Bluetooth antenna, and Ethernet port ensure stable connectivity, while compatibility with Google Assistant offers convenient voice control.

Featuring a next-generation Quad Balanced 8-channel, 32-bit DAC, the DS200 boasts a wide dynamic range and low distortion. It is Roon Ready and certified Roon Tested, meaning that it has been profiled by Roon to ensure simple setup and effortless daily use while offering rich metadata and simple integration between streaming services and networked audio libraries.

The device supports high-resolution playback with eight digital audio inputs, including DSD512 and DXD up to 384kHz via USB and 24-bit/192kHz via coax and optical inputs. Meanwhile, an HDMI (ARC) input offers enhanced audio from TVs, converting Dolby and DTS multi-channel formats into two-channel audio for superior playback.
It has both balanced and unbalanced analogue outputs for versatile integration. With its elegant black glass fascia, rotary knobs, and illuminated logo, the DS200 embodies McIntosh's timeless aesthetic.

As well as a Data IN port, Power Control ports, and an RS232 Control port, it comes with a remote control handset for convenience.
The McIntosh DS200 Streaming DAC will be available in March with a suggested retail price of £5,890/€5,990/A$8,995 Pricing and availability some regions are still to be confirmed.
