KEF Reimagines LSX II with Updated Finishes and Fabric-Wrapped Design

KEF has refreshed its LSX II wireless speaker range with two new colourways, Cotton White and Amber Haze, aimed squarely at design-conscious listeners.

The update replaces the familiar Mineral White, Olive Green, Cobalt Blue and Lava Red options, which KEF says brings a more unified aesthetic across the line up.

First introduced in 2022, the pint-sized Applause Award winner has become one of KEF’s most recognisable speaker systems. Although newer variants have since joined the range since like the LSX II LT, the LSX II remains the model that set the template of a genuinely small-scale stereo pair built around KEF’s Uni-Q driver and a straightforward, plug-and-play approach to hi-fi. That combination of size, simplicity and unexpectedly grown-up performance has helped build a loyal following among listeners seeking a modern alternative to traditional separates.

The company is positioning Cotton White as timeless, comfortable, sophisticated and clean, while Amber Haze is billed as warm, uplifting, energetic and elegant. Both finishes complete KEF’s shift to a full fabric-wrapped cabinet for all LSX II variants, replacing the hard-case shells found on some now-retired models. KEF says this was a deliberate move to make the LSX II “more sensory by appealing to human touch”.

The LSX II design remains centred around what the company describes as “a form of sophisticated minimalism”, with the fabric-wrapped enclosure developed in collaboration with industrial designer Michael Young. KEF maintains that the speakers are intended not just as audio components, but as statement pieces that integrate naturally into a range of interiors.

New finishes are available now with pricing unchanged at A$2,300 | £1,199 | US$1,499.99.
